Well this happened like 500 feet from my house and I drove by this shit this morning. https://www.wsbtv.com/news/local/atlanta/2-men-found-shot-to-death-inside-car-in-atlanta/898445993
Well, this led me to a depressing story of a teen who accidentally shot his friend then apparently killed himself out of grief/fear.
Reminds me of this: Goose Creek police say an 18-year-old Goose Creek man under the influence of a hallucinogen hit a 19-year-old man with a metal baseball bat early Saturday morning before taking his own life. Officers arrived around 4 a.m. to find Austin Waldo dead in a bathroom at a house in the Preserve neighborhood in Crowfield Plantation with a small knife next to him, according to an incident report. Officers were then told by dispatchers that the man who called 911 was at a hospital with the victim who Waldo hit with the bat, the report stated. The man told officers that a group of people were sitting on a couch watching TV when Waldo picked up the bat and hit the victim in the head. The man told police he was able to get the bat away from Waldo and throw it in some bushes, but then Wando began chasing the group with scissors. The man was able to drive the victim who was hit with the bat to the hospital, according to the report. “Preliminary indications are that Waldo died of self-inflicted injuries after assaulting another person with a baseball bat while under the influence of a hallucinogen,” Goose Creek Assistant Chief of Police John Grainger said. " We believe this incident is isolated to the persons involved and that no danger is posed to the neighborhood or greater community."
Both are good, just depends which menu/atmosphere you prefer. Canoe is great when the weather is nice so maybe Aria now and Canoe in the spring.
Car got stolen from my parking garage when I lived in Block Lofts. They ain’t looking for nice cars in the hood.
Need to set up gas service at our new house. Anyone have experience with Georgia Natural Gas, Scanna, or Gas South?
I switched from Scana to Gas South. They offered lower therms and $5 off a month for like 15 months and Scana was raising my rates.
Think I’m actually going with Scanna and locking in $0.439 per therm for 24mo. Gas South could only go as low as $0.55 per therm (but did offer me $5 off per month for 10mo.) Just wanted to make sure one of these companies didn’t have Comcast-level customer service or anything like that.
I was at the 2 year mark when I switched and Scana jumped up pretty big. So I went for the new better deal.
I get the impression they onboard with better rates for new customers at the expense of raising rates on existing customers.
For gas, just switch every year when your initial rate is up. You’ll always get cheaper by switching.
Got a priority ticket to sit in studio for the Dan Patrick show on Thursday. Bout the only super bowl related thing I’m gonna do i believe
I'm going Saturday apparently. Not sure why. Even young kids need a ticket. Better be worth the money.
I’m no meteorologist but I think it’s gonna need to get at least three times colder than it is now for anything to freeze
Supposed to get down to around 20 tomorrow night. Snow days suck so much ass once you have a kid. Almost certainly daycare will be out tomorrow and Wednesday morning.
You would think with the amount of blow done in this city we could figure out how to handle a little bit of white powder.
80 Marta drivers called in sick today - apparently the Union is trying to negotiate a new package for its drivers and talks are stalled.
It was actually 120. They just didn’t want to tell anyone. Also, the new package has already been signed. They had their sights set on throwing a fit during the SB for months. MARTA is suing so it’ll get worse before it gets better.
Biggest gripe with the Atlanta food scene is the lack of Eastern European options. I can't think of any Russian or Polish places to eat. Love Polish food, but when I'm trying to eat some pierogis and bigos, there aren't really any options (that I know about). However; while googling I did find this article (no need to click, all it says is basically the title), though the article is over 3 years old. The Christiane Chronicles: Atlanta needs more Eastern European restaurants; and where to find rich butter https://www.atlantamagazine.com/din...an-restaurants-and-where-to-find-rich-butter/
