Huge part of my Saturdays as a kid. Dad always brought in giant radio headphones to the games and my favorite part was getting to listen to John ward on them
Presale on single game bball tickets when on sale today. There are still UF, UK, and WVU games left. All on a Saturday.
I'm the rare UT fan that thinks basketball is a better sport than football. If Yves Pons understands the system, we will be very fun to watch.
These are legit. Source: I have a box of them to hand out for Christmas now. Shipping was quick. $95 Nike Dri-fit Elite jacket for $35. https://www.fansedge.com/nike-tenne..._c=v1:o-5+t-2271+os-1&_ref=p-PDP:m-CAV:i-r0c2
Went to the WVU game Saturday. You have to be a really talented team to get down double digits and still end up covering a 16 point spread. Williams is an animal.
Like how our SEC schedule is backloaded with the tougher games. Should help get us prepared for the tournament.
I am enjoying every second of this season but it’s pretty nerve wracking that we’re fookin 19-1 and we’re even with LSU, 1 game over Kentucky, and 4 teams are within 3 in the SEC
My especially dumb friend texted me (without watching the games) "Fire Barnes" after ever loss for Barnes first two seasons. Barnes gets emotional talking about how Kevin Punter playing with a fractured foot in doomed effort to get us in the NTI helped build the team.
This team is good guys. Screen and switch defense has to improve to pinnacle. So many scorers. Can damn near hit a jump shot from anywhere.
Pons is such a liability. That lineup with fulky and pons together is what diarrhea looks like in basketball shorts
When Texas fired Mack Brown, I told the Texas grad I worked with that they should fire Rick Barnes while they were at it. Little did I know that I was/am a fucking idiot. This sure is fun.
You guys had a really nice recruiting class. What were you guys general thoughts on it? Good and bad...
Walker Kessler couldnt make it in this weekend for a visit because his dad has the flu. We are trying to reschedule that for the UK game. The big question is will he reclassify to 2019. Would pair nicely with Josiah James in this year's class. But when you battle the blue bloods in basketball recruiting like Duke, you're always the underdog.
Good: Offensive line. Hell of a class there. Gives hope especially in this trench driven league. Our OL has been so shitty on the field the last few years. Injuries annihilated our line. Jack Jones, Chance Hall, Trey Smith. It's sadly amazing our bad luck with lineman. Linebackers. Couch and To'oto'o So those could have been our two weakest roster positions and we recruited at an A level there. We didn't have the top tier defensive linemen in the class. Overall a great class considering we went 5-7. I mean Tennessee has to start beating Vandy, UK, and Mizzou yearly before worrying about UF, Bama, and UGA. Hopefully this is a class that builds up Pruitt's foundation. Especially if Bailey signs in 2020. We have to knock it out of the park in state next year. Lots of talent in Tennessee.
I don't follow recruiting at all anymore, but we needed offensive lineman more than anything. Pruitt was putting defensive linemen on the offensive line so they could run practice last summer. Then we lost our center Kennedy (the Alabama grad transfer) and Trey Smith to injury. We were starting 3 guys under 300 pounds, a three star true freshman, and Drew Richmond by the end of the year. We couldn't block a damn thing. And Drew Richmond jumped early signing into the transfer portal. Guarantano setting the UT record for consecutive passes without an interception behind that line is a fucking miracle and probably good coaching. So two five star tackles and five offensive linemen total has me over the moon. We need a pass rusher. But Darrell Taylor was great against UGA and UK. I'm confident Pruitt will figure out the defense.
