I feel like a broken record now. He is a racist POS and deserves zero benefit of the doubt when it comes to shit like this. I wish people would stop trying to excuse his bigotry.
rob lowe is an ass i ask the best way to eat foods i dont have experience with all the time. internet people just hate on things there imo.
looking forward to the people that support a man who thinks you need to show id at the grocery store whining about how out of touch she is with the common person
how many 50+ year old women do you think are regularly eating fried chicken? how many places in nyc that do serve fried chicken do you think serve it with the expectation that you'd eat it with your hands? especially places that a sitting us senator would go eat at? i don't even like gillibrand and this seems like a dumb thing to tease her with.
I don't care if she knows how to eat fried chicken, but it's pretty inexcusable to do an event to show your connection with the people when you haven't done the five minutes of prep necessary to not come off like the out of touch politician that you are.
of course it's dumb but you don't have to be a Popeyes regular to know how to eat fried chicken by the time you're an adult
Or at least read the room. If everyone is eating with their hands you eat with your hands. This isn’t complicated.
I can't believe people still think Trump does all his own tweeting. That was a Miller piece through and through
Exactly. Especially for someone who seems to be completely way overthinking everything like Gillibrand.
I can’t believe this is an actual takeaway. It was so obviously intentional, even if not done by fuckface.
In Budapest, not terribly far from the Hungarian parliament, and right between the U.S. embassy and a Ronald Reagan statue, there's still a monument with the hammer and sickle prominently displayed.
I could give a fuck less about gillibrand's gaffe - except for the fact that it exposes her as someone severely lacking leadership qualities.
I’m somewhat confused about commentary from the left and right about where the left stands on accusations of sexual misconduct. “Believe all victims.” Does this afford due process for the accused before life altering ramifications occur? Surely the amount of accusers and basic credibility of the accusation should be taken into account in measuring the time to action. That said, is “believe all victims deserve the justice of an investigation, and should be taken seriously” not very woke? It seems like the right is misrepresenting where the left was on kavanaugh. As soon as the Blasey Ford accusation seemed credible, it was clear as day the nomination should be suspended for an investigation, not that kavanaugh had to outright withdraw or resign. Obviously resignation at the hint of impropriety is easier, and after he began acting erratically and perjurying himself it was a none starter.
"When you hear people condemning the South for what it did to the African people, think of the fact that shortly after the start of their enslavement, they began going to church. That is something to be grateful for, and indeed proud of."
Welcome to what the media and this thread are going to talk about incessantly for the next 18 months with 10 different candidates and in the process make sure every one dislikes 4, likes 2, and doesn’t care about another 4 so that not 1 has a united coalition and is picking up steam at the convention and not standing on the rubble. You know what, if it’s lunch, and I’m shaking peoples hands and using my hands to talk and cameras are on me, I could use my hands to eat every single fucking thing I eat at home, like a god damn savage, and I’d consider using a fork to eat the chicken, so I don’t have to use my napkin on my face and hands after every bite. Who gives a fuck. That’s not out of touch, not knowing what to do I nevery situation and asking for help from those around you is human.
DEEPLY TROUBLED, Episode 835,947 Washington D.C. – House Foreign Affairs Lead Republican Michael McCaul (R-TX) released the following statement in response to the Administration’s failure to meet the requirements of the Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act.The law requires the Administration to determine and report to Congress within 120 days whether a foreign person is responsible for extrajudicial killings, torture, or other gross violations of human rights. Lead Republican McCaul: “I am deeply troubled by the letter I received from the Administration regarding the brutal murder of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi. “The letter does not meet the requirements of the “Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act”, which were invoked by letters from the bipartisan leaders of the House and Senate foreign policy committees last October. “Jamal’s murder was appalling. The lesson of this terrible event needs to be that intimidation and violence by any government against peaceful dissent will be met with strong disapproval by responsible nations. Everyone involved in this gruesome crime must be identified and held accountable. When the United States fails to lead, we compromise our integrity and abandon those pursuing justice around the world. “I call on the Administration to immediately comply with the requirements of the law, and to provide Congress with the information required.”
random thought but this thread is so much better without rules posting in it. thank god that financial whizkid couldn’t afford a $20 bet
