Assuming Ronda doesn’t take time off after Wrestlemania, how conceivable is this storyline? - Ronda drops title to Becky Lynch - Superstar shakeup occurs and she’s moved to Smackdown - Shayna Baszler gets called up and joins her on Smackdown - They form a tag team and start feuding for the women’s tag titles and eventually win them (at let’s say Summerslam) - They start feuding with any combination of Sasha, Bayley, Charlotte or Becky, planting the seeds for the 4 horsewomen vs 4 horsewomen storyline, which culminates with an elimination match at Survivor Series My thinking is that it’s a way to keep Ronda relevant after Wrestlemania, while also establishing Shayna Baszler as a major player. This also allows Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir to stay down on NXT and develop until the match at Survivor Series. I’m just rambling, feel free to tear this idea to shreds or make necessary improvements.
Baszler vs Rousey is a Mania match made in heaven. Let them team up like you say, have the big four on four match at Survivor Series, but then I want Baszler to put Ronda down.
Apparently Fox CEO said smackdown will be on Fox on Friday night "short term " And now this On Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez said it looks like SmackDown will end up on FS1. He also said WWE is lucky they signed the deal when they did, because they wouldn’t get $1 billion dollar contract for the show with its current numbers.
I don't use it personally but I figure it's something wwe wouldn't want to lose with chord cutters. And I thought universal had a stake in Hulu, but that may be mistaken.
FS1 is a good spot for Smackdown. I would hope NXT and or Talking Smack (OG version) is also added to the FS1 lineup.
Hmm, I didn’t know Lana was one of the original members of the FSU cowgirls you saw at the football games
I understand what she's insinuating here of course, but there might be some in this thread that don't if you want to explain it for them
Listening to Rollins on the E&C podcast. Seems like the idea to cash in the title was his and that he gave them the idea for almost half a year because they decided to pull the trigger. Also cool to hear someone confirm Punks story about the Shield and how it was supposed to be Kassius, Seth and Dean but WWE took Kassius out in place of Roman. And that the storyline was going to be the shield being Punks protectors but then eveloved into other things when Punk stuff started going sideways
If Becky Lynch main-events WrestleMania she'll be the first (and only other) non-North American to close the show since Andre the Giant in Mania 3.
No clue, happened after WWE cut ties with him originally. Putting on long tights would go a big way for me to not hate him anymore. He looks like a sloppy mess.
Have you had Burger King's new Big King XL? Have you had one for lunch and dinner every day for six months?
Sucks that he’ll miss Elimination Chamber https://www.cagesideseats.com/wwe/2...mber-wwe-title-match-mounting-injuries-report
The problem with that is this is a title match in the chamber, and he's not winning the title. No one is but Bryan, which means everyone in the match has to eat a pinfall. I wouldn't call up Aleister just to have him lose in his debut match.
Have him last to the end seems like a great way to get him an immediate push. What other star on Smackdown would you add to the match? Kofi?
Actually one of the New Day is exactly what I was thinking. But you make a good point about protecting him by letting him last till the end.
If not, throw Shelton Benjamin in there. He’s proven time and time again that he’ll willing to put his body on the line for big spots.
