Bertrand said the brother also has some weird relationship with Carter page and Roger stone. Could get real fun real quick. From the article, "Documents reviewed by The Daily Beast show that Michael Sanchez believed the Enquirer pursued its story about Bezos with “President Trump's knowledge and appreciation”—a chase encouraged, in Sanchez’s estimation, by Republican operatives “who THINK Jeff gets up every morning and has a WaPo meeting to plot its next diabolical attack on President Trump.”" Hoo boy!
The idea of an Illuminati running the world isn't at all that weird when the same 200 richest people in the country all seem to get caught up in one big web of shit while trying to make as much money as possible.
How does the world's richest guy not vet his side piece and those immediately in her circle? On the other hand, I'd be shocked if Bezos didn't already know about her brother's political interests. You had to see something like this coming, bro.
I like how we all just know and accept that the President knows far more about Jeff Bezos' divorce than HUD.
Michael is married to a man, so maybe it was just an add to fuck Roger stone that brought them together.
People that say shit like that on TV and will have real adults in the US repeating it unironically and as fact deserve to be beaten with baseball bats.
it hits too close to the anti-vax rationalizations to me, and that he's on, ostensibly, a news platform on a program that really has the ear of a certain anti-vax demented president and his supporters....there will be some viewers that find his joke, on a news platform, as a compelling idea.
ie you found my comment ridiculous? I’m pretty incredulous that a human being in 2019 would say and believe, “I can’t see them; they don’t exist.” He’s obviously trying for absurd humor with the admission he hasn’t washed his hands in 10 years.
Nope would still be that Seinfeld episode for the latter. Or at least someone who's named rhymed with it.
Fwiw, I spent 2 hours across from him at a Hilton bar in Orlando where he was finishing some race event. He was nice to everyone and a totally unassuming guy.
"Nancy Pelosi is a progressive and not a corporate dem" -actual people in this thread https://theintercept.com/2019/02/05/nancy-pelosi-medicare-for-all/ But she sarcastically clapped at trump so its cool
That was your biggest take away from the article that ended with this? " TWO OF PRIMUS’S five objections to single payer before the Blue Cross audience related to such alleged fiscal challenges. That argument, though, runs headlong into a surge of new interest among Democrats in Modern Monetary Theory, the idea that policymakers are still constrained by a mindset that was justifiable when the U.S. was on the gold standard, but is no longer defensible. Now that the U.S. issues a currency independent of its gold reserves, the obstacle to government spending is inflation, not the debt or deficit, proponents of MMT say. “This zero-sum mentality has no place in a post-Bretton Woods world,” said economist Stephanie Kelton in reaction to Primus’s argument that spending on Medicare for All would foreclose other priorities. (Post-Bretton refers to the global agreement that the dollar will be the global economy’s reserve currency, ultimately decoupled from gold.) “The U.S. dollar is no longer tethered to gold, which means the federal government is not constrained in its spending by the need to raise revenue. The federal government cannot run out of dollars. This should be painfully obvious, but the gold-standard mentality continues to grip many lawmakers,” Kelton said. As long as inflation remains low, the government can continue to authorize additional spending. That’s not so much an argument as it is simply an observation of the post-gold-standard reality that austerity advocates like Peterson have spent billions to distort. “The government can afford any new program it chooses to fund. The limits are in the real economy — if producers can’t keep up with the additional demand, inflation will result,” said Kelton, a former adviser to the Senate Budget Committee when it was chaired by Sen. Bernie Sanders. “The federal government — as the issuer of the U.S. dollar — can create all the money that is needed to guarantee health care for all of its people. It’s the rest of us — who merely use the dollar — who have to worry about costs and where to come up with the money to pay a huge medical bill when our private insurer refuses to cover the cost of care.” This reality has been recognized by former Federal Reserve Chairs Alan Greenspan and Ben Bernanke, as well. “The United States can pay any debt it has because we can always print money to do that. So, there is zero probability of default,” Greenspan once said. "
I don't understand your point here. Primus(top Pelosi aide) is objecting to medicare for all on the basis that it drives up the deficit and those last three paragraphs argue against that notion.
I remember people in this thread arguing that Pelosi was the best choice to be Speaker of the House not that she was a progressive. But despite her not being progressive the push to oust her came from centrist trying to appease their GOP overlords.
Is the implication that she was in on it or that she just happened to have a brother who is who he is and somehow gained access to what he leaked?
At the risk of being labeled a centrist, some of these overly progressive people in this thread are annoying as fuck. Trying to find a gotcha moment because not everyone in the world thinks the way you think.
It’s pretty funny how actually stupid most of the Fox talent is. Jesse Watters is absolutely dumber than most people I speak with on a weekly basis.
I sometimes wonder if they are truly this dumb and bad at their jobs, or if it's part of their grift to get paid? I know these people are morons, but it feels impossible at times how they managed to find the dumbest people in a single field on one network. Then again, Occam's Razor.
