I'm sure she has gotten thousands of racist tweets since then that no one cares about. The scrutiny for muslim women in Congress is going to be a hell of a lot higher than for old white men. Like I said I hadn’t seen the video until it was just posted, and calling it an explosion or even losing her cool as I did is clearly a click bait exaggeration. Omar could shoulder shrug the reporters too, and maybe it gets more attention, but she didn’t win her nomination by being a run of the mill boring as fuck candidate. She won by speaking out and drawing attention. CNN is what it is at this point and none of us should have high expectations of their work in 2019 or going forward, and she, along with AOC and others like them draw eyeballs, for good or worse. I guess my point is they are going to have to be better than the rest at handling the media because the media is going to dig at them to satisfy their for profit business model. It’s not right or fair, but it is partially what got them elected and if they’re good at it, which they clearly are, they can play it to their advantage.

If you watch the video, she was even making eye contact with the guys who asked the “what music do you like” question when she was answering. CTG was the one who asked the other question and she pretty obviously just glossed over it. Then she was asked like “who do you like that’s on the scene now” and she responded with Cardi B. Whole lot of nothing here.
