The contribution rank is determined by the player's usage rate. It just means that 20%-24% of possessions (with Jay on the floor) end with him shooting, turning it over or getting fouled.
If we have another new Hoo fan (in addition to devine and Tobias of course) I am going to be ecstatic
tooeasy Hi we're going to need your thoughts on the following: Jack Salt UVa Twitter Personalities is Kihei Clark an ACC caliber player
I was actually a lurker during the Rivals Mainboard days, made the move over to TMB when it was created but I stopped checking the board over the past year or two. I couldn't remember my old username and thought it was time to make a new one.
I think Jack's a great role player in the blocker/mover and he's grown into a really solid defender. He used to be a walking foul call. With that said, we've had so many lineups over his 4 years (not so much this year -- just Clark + Salt together) where we're playing 3 on 5 on offense and that shit is infuriating. I don't follow many UVa twitter personalities so no strong opinions there. Am I missing out on any good follows? Kihei probably wouldn't make sense for many other ACC teams but he definitely fits for UVa. He's like the Jack Salt of guards but with more potential on both sides of the ball. His shot isn't pretty but he's hitting around 40% from 3 in ACC games, we'll see if that continues. That mid range game is atrocious, though. There are match ups where he'll be a liability but I like the versatility he gives us on D. Did I pass? damn it, is it tu late to change my name?
https://www.zagsblog.com/2019/02/14...fter-tony-bennett-and-he-has-not-said-no-yet/ Lol Also makes me like 1% worried. Not worried but not totally not worried. Not NOT worried.
http://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/salaries/mens-basketball/coach/ I would bet that UVA can match any offer from UCLA given the, uh, troubled state of that whole conference’s finances
If he didn't leave for Wisconsin, I couldn't see him leaving for UCLA. Even if he attained the level of success he has at Virginia right now, he'd be in danger of being fired. Their expectations are just too high. Also PAC 12 lol. I think they should take Buzz IMO
Tony has also allegedly turned down more money to pay his assistants more, but I don't think it can possibly be a question of money for him. Plenty of fans will say "it's not about the money for Bennett" which is maybe true but mostly sanctimonious bullshit. I mostly mean that UCLA can't write a check that makes UVA say "sorry, can't do it"
Initially, I didn’t want Bennett to leave UVA. Now that you had to bring Buzz into it, I hope you all hire James Johnson when Bennett leaves
took bennett a few years to get us out of the NIT field here at UVA. i'm sure that kind of slow build is exactly what UCLA is looking for.
they literally just announced an endowed fund for his asst coaches - he's not leaving for a while (and it'd be to the NBA when it happens, imo)
Ive seen alot of posts(rivals and 247) about him to the nba after his kids graduate. Has he said he wants to coach in the nba? He just doesnt seem like the type of coach to want to coach in the nba.
The ONLY appeal UCLA has at this point is being in the PAC12. Bennett wouldn’t lose for years at a time in that D2 league. Otherwise I don’t realky see any advantage to that swap.
nah I think it's floated around enough that it could be coming from somewhere - but haven't read/heard anything definitive that it's a goal of his or whatnot
He's just talked about wanting to compete at the highest level and has never explicitly said "I love college and want to say here forever." There has been enough chatter from people close to him who know that he is competitive enough and wants to coach the best players in the world. It would really take a special situation and a really progressive, risk tolerant franchise to lure him away but I don't think he'd say no to the right place if he had the trust of ownership and a large say in personnel decisions. I'm personally rooting against Brad Stevens because I think he's always going to be the closest analog and his failure is our gain, IMO. He just seems too perfect for college to leave - the NBA is always going to be an awkward fit. But I think he could do it and wouldn't fault him if he wanted to give it a try.
I’ll be in Charlottesville this afternoon so thinking about catching the game. Haven’t been to a game at JPJ in a long time. Will I have success scalping tix or should I just grab something off stubhub?
scalping will be incredibly easy - pass the guys on the corner and look for someone near the security check point - a game like today's people may just be giving away a ticket
60+, blue button-down/orange sweater, block V cap = has an extra because his wife didn’t want to go this afternoon and is willing to give it away just so he can go in.
Went to the WVU game a couple years ago and sat next to a bro who fit this exact description who had a single season ticket because he was tired of having to find someone to take his wife’s ticket.
Luckily that’s the one part I never worry about. Staring that way with Salt and and Kihei in though... yikes
