For the record, Dunkey consistently hates AC. Just think he's amusing and enjoy his videos.

Dunkey is odd to me because I usually don’t like the guys that see his type of popularity but he is just as he was 5 years ago and I laugh at every video he does. His Dunk Souls/Bloodborne stuff is wonderful

 

Kassandra nightmare difficulty/ exploration mode , Lets do this this should get me to RDR 2 in 2weeks.

 

This game is awesome. Love it so far.

 

This cultist game mechanic is fucking brilliant and makes me so excited for the future of this series

Wasn't strong enough to take down a general in a fort so after many fails I learned to trap the signal fire and what satisfying way to get a one shot kill.

 

You just now trapping the signal fire? That’s should be priority number 1.

 

First fort I like to try and assassinate every enemy without any alerts but even with full assassin dmg build I could only do half his health. Only level 11 right now

 

What does signal fire trap do

I was always too afraid to try it in this or origins

 

Sets an explosive charge on it so when they light it blows up killing in a aoe area.

 

Damn this game is so much fun and I've put an embarrassing amount of hours into it since it came out.

Level 43 now and almost done with the main storyline. Haven't even explored the whole map yet either.

 

Just encountered my first bug with this game today. So FYI don't loot the treasure chest at the Ruined Sanctuary of Ajax on the Isle of Salamis. That chest is part of a mission called Prince of Persia. Looting it prior will leave you unable to finish the mission.

Also anyone else having issues with recruited lieutenants not physically showing up on the boat?

 

Should I get Origins or just go right to Odyssey? I finally finished up the HZD DLC and am ready to get into something new. Probably will go with one of these before I get into Red Dead 2

 

Origins first, great return to form for the series

 

Just got to level 50 and it doesn't look like they are continuing the Origins system where you can keep earning ability points once you reach max level. You can reset your ability points and redistribute them how you want to though.

 

Was this game any good?

It’s the best open world in the series but the plot is disjointed and Alexios/Kassandra just make you wish we had more Bayek

 

This is my next ambitious game to tackle after I thoroughly exhaust RDR.

 

Getting close to finishing RDR, then will hit up Origins and Odyssey

 

It was amazing. Loved it.

 

Not saying anything that’s new or hasn’t been said already.

But it’s sucks as a big fan of this series. They took the time to really do Origins correctly and create an awesome game. Sales and reviews reflected that. Then they rush out and pumped this game out.

Which I’ve heard the gameplay is the same as origins and has some slight improvements. Just the story hasn’t sounded to Blah to me and I’m just not interested to get to it anytime soon.

origins is pretty damn great. i kinda like the old fight style better, cause i am used to just countering, lol. i thought odyssey looked like a reskin, but everybody who's played it loves it.

 

Took me a bit to get into it, but I'm really having fun with this game.

Started Origins finally. Combat is way different and also I'm bad at it. Stealth is where its at for me at this point. Also after Red Dead's dead eye system, I suck ass at hitting people with a bow and arrow since I can't slow down time.

 

So I'm playing Origins and theres a million question marks and quest markers all over. Am I supposed to just go and do all of these at my leisure or wait until a quest is triggered? I went into some stronghold and killed the captain and cleared it out, then went to a marker and found out I accidentally already completed the mission.

 

At your own leisure

 

You can go explore them all at your leisure, at least thats what I did. You will be limited from doing anything in certain regions until you are leveled up enough. The games way of putting a restriction on it.

There will be times that you go into an area or camp and clear it out, only for a side mission to have you go back there. I typically found that the side mission was then alot easier as the amount of enemies were less since I already cleared it out. Its really up to you though.

 

Fuck me, this is going to take a long time. I'm too OCD to just ignore any of them

 

Aaaaaaaaand this is why I stopped playing Origins.

I like this way more but I’ll likely come back to Origins at some point. Word of mouth makes me regret that decision because I probably could’ve taken the more streamlined approach and just gunned for the main narrative.

I also struggled with the new control scheme at the time and kept failing missions thinking nothing had changed. Then I got good on God of War, which is essentially the same scheme, and Odyssey has been a cinch after that.

 

fair enough. big fan of Origins so I recommend it to anyone.

was very skeptical of Odyssey but most in here seem to like it.

with an engagement, house purchase and work travel these last couple months my gaming time has been limited. Excited to finish through RDR2 and then get into Odyssey

 

Odyssey is way better than I expected it to be.

 

i liked the old AC controls better, as well.

 

Really enjoying odyssey but origins and odyssey feel like completely different series

 

Think I made a mistake playing Origins after Red Dead Redemption 2. Origins just hasn't grabbed me like Red Dead did. Possibly because I'm just going around doing seemingly meaningless side quests.
