Uhhh is something bad happening right now? No exaggeration 23 sheriff cars have flown by me sirens blaring on 526 E Edit: at 42 now. Berkeley county, North Charleston and mount pleasant police dept
Was just talking to my mom and she said the same thing. As I was talking to her, a cop flew by me in my neighborhood (Carolina Bay) in West Ashley. Something major is happening.
Twitter is saying an active shooter in Huger with a “high powered gun”. Started seeing them on Clements Ferry all the way down to the Leeds exit by the Ashley river
Heading back down this morning. A little business. Mostly pleasure. Got a show at music farm tonight. Other than that no plans but to wander, drink and eat. My wife lived here for like 10 years, me for 4, we met here, got married here, and haven’t been back together since we were married 8 years ago. Pretty pumped. Afternoon drinking recs for today? Edmunds oast? Don’t really feel like messing around Mt P or anything. Probably gonna keep it on the peninsula.
First timer heading down to Charleston at the end of the month. Golfing Thursday at Charleston National Golf Club, Friday at Wild Dunes Links Course, Saturday at Wild Dunes Harbor Course, then going to a wedding at the Isle of Palms Wild Dunes resort. Staying at the Wild Dunes resort. Best place to watch March Madness games? Best outdoor bars/restaurants? TIA.
At butcher and bee, but no food. Private food + wine party. They did accommodate us for a drink though. That Cuban at tatooed moose is to die for
Just got a text from my mom with a picture of my dad leaving Lewis BBQ with a freezer box. I found a house in the old village of Mt. Pleasant that I wanted to buy and had my wife somewhat on board.....she accused me of wanting to move to Charleston just for the BBQ.
Hey guys im going to be in charleston for 2 weeks for work starting next week. Any events coming up to do? Ill likely have my wife and kids with me for atleast 1 week so kid friendly would be great. Also best bbq places to eat? I went a few years ago but did mostly touristy things
Hey guys. Trying to convince a group to go to Charleston for a bachelor party. Most of us have never been and those that have it s been a long time. I'm familiar with Westbrook, Charlestown Fermatory, and Edmund's Oast as far as breweries go, but I'm not sure what other places are good as far as food and drink for a group of 8-12 dudes. I know there are some nice golfing opportunities, and we are considering staying at the beach. As far as music I'm aware of Pourhouse and their shows. Does Charleston have Uber/Lyft? Any places we should check out or avoid? Any tips are welcome. I will read through a few pages of this thread later but wanted to post so I could find it easier.
I'll do the easy question: yes. Arkadin plans Charleston bachelorette parties but he could probably help your group out
TLAU has a pretty good post in here somewhere about what he did for a bachelor party. And yes there is uber and lyft
We went on Labor Day weekend of 2017 so there’s probably a few posts in that time frame from me while visiting and Ark (and maybe a couple others) giving pointers on guys trips. Didn’t need to use ride shares once we were in the city bc there’s a lot of 10+ people Airbnb’s walking distance from everything. But good for getting to/from the airport and most come equipped with a conversation about Clemson football. 167 Raw tuna burger should be #1 on the agenda
They are dumb if they don’t consider Charleston. Ideal place for a bachelor party. I’m going to be in town Wednesday night and Thursday. Can’t wait.
This is the 2nd bachelor party in a row I've tried to convince to go to Charleston. We ended up in Asheville for the last one, and Asheville is currently leading the vote for this one. I LOVE Asheville, but fuck I want to do something we haven't done together 2 or 3 times I'm surprised at how hard a sell it is.
