right, but on the framework of the show she was not in a power role. She was beneath other members of the show.
How? She made suggestions to the president same as any other person with “power” on the show. So do to that framework no one had power?
Okay so are you bitching they didn’t have enough women in major roles or enough women in power roles?
I know I'm in the minority of this,I liked the will bailey character initially. But then once he makes the move to Bob's team not so much.
I get what your saying. His start was very good and I didn’t mind him at all. His scene with Toby in the mess where he hands him the note from Sam that says “he’s one of us” is one of my favorite WW moments/scenes.
California campaign Will was fine. When he took over for Sam and basically was there to fight with Toby, that was okay some of the time. When he started working for Russell, the only things he brought to the table were terrible one-liners or shitty dialogue written to explain plot points. His best moments as a character were probably the middle of season 7 when he took over for Toby and did press briefings. It was the first time they actually gave him things to do and say that gave you a reason to like him even a little.
losing Sorkin was devastating for Will. Malina is a Sorkin favorite and he certainly would have made sure to keep Will a well liked character.
Will is one of the most pure, wonder bread characters I can remember in a show that I actually liked Hard pass for me from day 1
Been meaning to watch the show for a while. This thread inspired me to do so. Knocked out the first 3 episodes last night
the best explainer for the valid criticism the show gets is that West Wing is what people wish politics was like but Veep is the reality first 4 seasons are great then I can kind of leave the last few
I had no idea there was such hate for will. I thought he was fine, but anyone cast as replacement Sam was set up to fail and his character was a victim of the show going off the rails towards the end.
I'm not really sure how to explain it, other than he just didn't seem to bring anything to the table until the campaign. He served zero purpose to the show when he was Chief of Staff to the VP. He was either someone who annoyed Toby for no reason because he or the VP wouldn't do what Toby wanted, or someone who just said some stupid line or failed joke in a meeting or in the hallway to explain a conversation among the main characters. Admittedly, it could also be a situation where I was thrown off guard because they make him kind of unlikeable a lot of the time, while going out of their way for most of the show to make Sam and Toby almost impossibly perfect people. The more I look back on that, the more I'm willing to give them a pass for Will as far as being a prick. That's one of the reasons I think a lot of people like Josh as a character more than Toby or Sam. They let Josh fail and didn't treat him with kid gloves. It was okay for him to be wrong. Sam and Toby's biggest flaws were almost always that they were too smart, or cared too much.
You can’t quit after season 4 because then you’ll never see The Supremes, and that’s no way to go through life.
"Ainsley Hayes' has nice perky cans as well https://m.xhamster.com/videos/csi-emily-procter-shows-breasts-1250461
i dislike Will so much on the west wing that i actually can't rewatch sports night. i tried last month and i couldn't stand him. he's the same character.
Saw the bottom scene last night, great stuff. Emily Procter since I first saw her on CSI Miami, and Ainsley has added even more energy to the show. Toby is rapidly rising up the ranks of my favorite characters
I believe as long as Justice Dreifort is intolerant towards gays, lesbians, blacks, unions, women, poor people, and the First, Fourth, Fifth and Ninth Amendments, I will remain intolerant towards him!
