Spoiler i was really worried I gave my Arthur TB through poor behavior and decision making. Glad this thread has confirmed its inevitability
Wouldn't any DLC just be called Red Dead Redemption? I mean doesn't the next game pick up almost immediately.
Starting a play through #2 to do all things dishonorable and money hungry. And to replay it with 4K/HDR since I upgraded equipment with 2-3 missions left in chapter 6. Questions: gold bar glitch is really gone? does that include if you had a saved game prior to the patch and prior to you using the glitch would it still not work if I just loaded from there (have one very early in chapter 2 at 12.9% that's right before I went to get the gold bars) if that's not doable I prob will just go from the next saved spot that's towards the end of chapter 2. Bones are too old and tired for money grinding and I like expensive things like fancy guns and riding trains everywhere
Just do all the treasure hunts. You shouldn't need a glitch to have enough money to do whatever you want. I had over $20,000 with Arthur. Ftr I don't think it would matter when you saved the game anyway. Pretty sure once a patch is applied, it's applied to everything.
yea sahn but I was living that ultra-high-net-worth lifestyle. actually doubt it would be too tough to manage money a 2nd time through just knowing what I actually need and what guns/clothing I used < 5 times or not at all in the entire first run. what's the consensus on favorite / best dual wield for the course of the story mode? can't hit fuckall when i'm high using double-action. prob just buy cattlemans and customize and use for the whole game.
The second revolvers were my favorite by far. I used those and a pump shotgun most of the game. Occasionally one of the rifles.
Dual schofields are easily the best imo. Blackened steel, gold engraving, pearl grip. I use the bolt action, pump shotgun, and lancaster more than anything.
Slugs are too good in the game imo. Still walking into a situation where there’s 10+ people that dual revolver >>>>> headshot city
I used the gold auto pistol I got off of one of the outlaws I killed (Billy Midnight) then photographed but really all I ever took into battle was my semi-auto shotgun and my rare rolling block rifle. If I knew I'd have no use for sniping I'd take the lancaster repeater.
Debating downloading the original rdr Hovered over the buy button last night but the division comes out in a month
I’ve been avoiding this thread since it came out because I wanted to take my time with it, obviously. Just finished the epilogue. My only gripe Spoiler with the story is I wish Arthur would have ended Micah .It was truly a fantastic game tho.
Spoiler also fuck you rock star for killing the horse that I’d ridden on for damn near 80 hours. And happened to named after a dog that recently passed. Arthur saying thank you got me goooooood.
I liked it, I got to explore new Austin Liked playing as John I want to go back and play the 1st one again
it definitely switches things up from what they were just minutes prior. i think lassoing bulls and stuff took a bit too long, but i appreciated some of the nods to the first one and the nostalgia. i think it was good for setting up how john got to where he was in rdr1. and some of those sequences were great in it.
I played some last night for the first time in a week or so. It’s pretty terrible. The proximity thing is extremely dumb and it’s so hard to gauge your surroundings now as far as enemies/posse/random people
People that complain because you might get randomly shot in an open world cowboy game are the worst. That’s what drove this change
I didn’t much care for the ending of chapter 6 running right into a long drawn out quest in the epilogue. Killed the momentum that was a brilliant end to chapter 6.
Is there any payoff to completing it? I just stopped because I was bored. You are right all the momentum just stopped, which lead to me just stopping.
Idk I haven’t finished it. I just wish they’d have rolled credits or something because it really killed the vibe for me. I feel like all throughout the game that a lot of emotional elements were handled kinda poorly
The ending is (mostly)worth the laborious parts of the epilogue. I'm still a little upset about exactly how this gets tied up, but the fight up to it is great.
I feel like this hits the nail on the head for how I feel about most of the game thus far. It manages to ramp up in the right spots nearly all the time.
Online is pretty ruined. Not that it was great before but I enjoyed just getting into battles with people. I started playing the story all over again. I also hate the people that complain too much about this game mainly on reddit... I would like the online to be better but I feel like I got my 80 bucks out of it.
