If you are very frugal like I am, use Microsoft rewards to pay for it. I made a habit of using it daily and it pays for my Xbox live and game pass. Also used saved up points to buy red dead 2. They have occasional discounts on things so I just kept an eye out for those and got over 200 dollars worth of stuff last year.
Is there like a website for this? I dont know much, if anything, about the rewards program because I feel like it changes each year. Teach me your ways.
i get emails from the rewards program all the time, but i have no points and it makes no sense for me. i also havent spent much time trying to figure it out, lol.
They condensed it into one thing recently and made it easier. Just log into your Microsoft account and go to the rewards tab. Not sure if you have to activate it or anything like that. You can also download the rewards app on your Xbox and that's easy to use. You also get points for purchases so you might already have some. Basically there are 3 daily offers and you get points for using Bing. You can get points for playing game pass games on the app. For the Bing search I just use the news bar and click through all of those while I'm watching Netflix or something. It takes a little time if you do it on its own so multitasking is best. https://account.microsoft.com/rewards/
I also do this but I’m very bad about keeping my daily streak going. Think it’s netted me about $100 in 2 years. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So who has seen the Summit1G Sea of Thieves heist? Makes me wonder if the game has gotten better, because he seems to be having a blast playing it (per 2nd video). Here's how I found out about it...
I played sea of thieves for a few hours last week. It's for sure better but it's still a ways out. New quests, new areas, tons of PVE threats while sailing. It doesn't feel as empty but it still seemed like there is no goal at all.
yeah i tried it again since it had a slight revival on twitch, but still seemed to have no direction when sailing solo. think it'll also have a niche crowd and that's it.
I actually think the pvp mode they teased will be pretty good. I don't remember all the details but it looked like exactly what is needed to add a ton of action.
Listen.. I know I impressed you last night with the clutch sweaty apex plays for multiple wins... but I’m actually not in this doc. I’m just a regular guy with a controller, a mic, and a dream.
This made me Gordon Hayward's wife made him stop gaming during a Twitch stream https://sports.yahoo.com/gordon-haywards-wife-made-stop-gaming-twitch-stream-214002023.html Spoiler If you have a loved one who likes to play video games, chances are you’ve told them once, twice, or perhaps a zillion times to shut it down so you can do normal life things. Things like eating dinner, putting the kids to bed, or having a two-minute face-to-face conversation. And like clockwork, they say “just one more level?” Barstool Gametime ✔@StoolGametime Gordon Hayward asking his wife if he can play one more and her saying no is an all time moment 31K 6:37 PM - Feb 19, 2019 5,172 people are talking about this Twitter Ads info and privacy " data-reactid="26" style="margin-bottom: 1em; color: rgb(38, 40, 42); font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px;"> To his credit, Hayward didn’t question it or try to bargain for more time. He said goodbye to his fellow streamers and logged off. But near the end of the clip, after the goodbyes, you can just barely hear Robyn say something that may sound familiar to anyone with a video game-obsessed loved one. It’s hard to make out exactly what she said, but it sounded like “I’m sitting here watching you play video games. How pathetic is my life?” Professional athletes may have incredible talent and lots of money, but their lives are just like everyone else’s in so very many ways. Even they have to stop playing video games when their spouse tells them to.
I'd say your life is pretty good Robyn, considering you don't have to do fucking anything for the rest of your life.
The reviews aren't wrong, but it's the nature of most MOBAs I think. It's because it's a team game, and when 1 person fucks up the entire team feels the effect. It also has a steep learning curve, so a lot of new players get shit on pretty badly then cursed by their teammates. There is a wide arrange of VGS options as well, so people get clever with talking shit on those. Whereas in a game like Overwatch, there's not as much shit to be spoken through VGS, but I think that console community would be every bit as toxic if they had as wide a range of VGS options. You can also spam laugh in the game, which can really be salt on the wound after you just got shat on. All that said, I stand by my point and say it's easily one of my favorite most played games ever. I find it extremely rewarding, and strongly recommend giving it a try. Like most games, the beginning can be quite daunting on your own, so there's a SMITE thread on the game board if you have questions, I'd be glad to help as much as possible.
I played it on PC a few years ago, and that’s the only way I’d ever play a MOBA, so I don’t really have any desire to get into one at this point...just thought the reviews were funny.
I play smite on pc. Lvl 111 couple diamonds. I cannot play this game on switch or Xbox. To me it is a mouse and keyboard game. Gin I still need to hook up with you on PC.
My handle is NomadHokie, we pretty much only play cross platform as 2 of the guys I play with also prefer playing on PC. They use comms through the XBox app. My bad, just seeing this, but hope it went well -- who did you play? I'll play on a smurf with you tomorrow, so you don't have to deal with folks that are higher levels. Arena is a good starting point, but the real game is in conquest. The other game modes are fun as well, but I usually play assault (think you need to be level 15 to play that) when I need a break from conquest.
Downloaded We Happy Few as it’s on gamepass. Curious to see how it plays. Has anyone played Agents of Mayhem?
We happy few is interesting I played it for a bit and dropped it, I think it’s got really interesting pieces/ideas and is a really interesting first game from them.
Gameplay isn't solid IMO. The story is awesome but its like they weren't good at just the fluidity of the game. Its like if Bioshock wasnt smooth....and the story isnt good enough to hold you.
I played that for a little while, just way too much time required. It’s still super glitchy and didn’t run smooth after being out for like 3 years, and at this point every server is dominated by an alpha tribe that will wreck your shit as soon as you get to a decent point.
I wonder if that’s how Rust is as well. I have never played that game but have watched a ton of videos on it.
Never played Rust, but Ark is essentially unplayably boring solo, and a lot of fun with a group but it requires a shit ton of time to get to the fun stuff.
Don't do it to yourself. Ark is not a game you can win. It's based on who has more time to put in. You will never be able to compete with the people who play for 10 hours every day.
It’s not even about winning, the grind to get where the game is really enjoyable is brutal and then your shit just gets wiped as soon as you’ve got enough cool shit for someone to take notice.
Has anyone played Black Desert yet? Buddy played it all night. Sounded interesting. Haven’t done research game yet though.
Stay far away imo Played the hell out of it on PC. It’s MTX are very pay-to-win. The game itself is fun, but it’s hard to keep up without spending $

Rainbow Six Seige Year 4 is released tomorrow. Proof that good games with good support will be profitable for years. Lots of talk about shitty games these days and this one is just so excellent.
