With two players already signed, Toumani Camara and Jaykwon Walton, and Edwards committed, Crean’s class currently sits at No. 12. Crean was known for his recruiting ability at his previous stops as he brought in back to back top-10 classes at Indiana in 2012 and 2013, and his excitement about the future of Georgia basketball makes fans believe it will be the same way in Athens. “Obviously Georgia would like to build around Anthony [Edwards] and I think Anthony opting to stay home and go there could certainly impact some of these other decisions,” Evan Daniels, the Director of Basketball Recruiting for 247Sports said. “Maybe not directly, but, these kids want to team up and play together and play with other really good players, so when a guy the caliber of Anthony decides to go to Georgia, I think it probably opens those other guys’ eyes up a little.” “Look, Tom’s got a really good recruiting class,” he continued. “It’s not just Anthony. I think he is going to be able to guard multiple positions at the college level too.” Achiuwa took an official visit to Kansas earlier this week and has one scheduled to North Carolina on March 9. UConn is listed as the favorite to land the five star according to the Crystal Ball projections, but Daniels believes that there is a chance that Georgia could get in the mix and potentially get an official visit as well. However, his decision likely won’t come until after playing in the McDonald’s All American Game in Atlanta. If the Bulldogs are able to sign him, he would be the program’s third highest ranked signee ever behind Edwards and 2005 signee Louis Williams. But shooting is where he brings the most value.” Having just cut his list down to seven, Quinones is working to get some more official visits scheduled. He saw LSU and Maryland in November and December respectively, but the other five schools in his final listing would like to have him to campus too. Georgia is one of those, along with Memphis, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio State. He’s got good size for the position. He’s a scorer. Shoots the ball pretty well from distance, and he’s a guy that I think has a lot of potential as a defender because I think he could guard multiple positions.” Beverly could be the solution to Georgia’s lack of a true point guard. He has not taken any official visits during his recruiting process so far. While Michigan State holds all of the Crystal Ball projections currently, Georgia is still in the mix along with the likes of Baylor and Indiana. Walker Kessler (Woodward Academy, GA) Center, 6-foot-10, 225 pounds 247Sports Composite: No. 16 overall, No. 3 center, No. 2 in Georgia Evan Daniels Says: “Walker Kessler is one of the best post players in the 2020 class. For his size, he moves extremely well. He’s got a terrific set of hands. Really nice touch around the basket. Can get to a hook shot with the ability to make those short to mid-range jump shots. He’s a good area rebounder, so I’ve been really impressed with his skill, but also his mobility and his ability to rebound.” An idea is floating around that Kessler may reclassify from the 2020 class to the 2019 class, something that Anthony Edwards did back in November before visiting Georgia for the first time in December. Several members of Kessler’s family played basketball at Georgia and he was one of the first recruits that Tom Crean reached out to when he got the job, so if he were to decide to reclassify, the Bulldogs would certainly get a hard look. Another prospect that I spoke with Daniels about was JUCO point guard Tyson Jolly. The 6-foot-4 Oklahoma City native initially signed his National Letter of Intent with California, but was released after a coaching change. He then went to Baylor as a redshirt freshman before ending up at Trinity Valley Community College in Texas. Wherever Jolly ends up next, he will have two years of eligibility left. The initial day for the spring signing period is April 17 with the time to sign ending on May 15. With the pieces already in place, Tom Crean will finish out with a great class regardless of whether or not he is able to add to it.
I know it's odd to say with the names that are on that list but I really want the IMG kid the most. I was at CofC when Anthony Johnson was there, it's so much fun having a tall PG.
I'm not sure Quinones can play PG. He's more of a traditional shooting guard. While not as highly ranked as some of the others, I think Beverly is the most important recruit on the list. He would be our starting PG next year. On one of the boards yesterday, someone was saying we are also going after JUCO combo guard Tyson Jolly to play PG. His film is pretty filthy. He went to Baylor out of HS as a top 100 player, then transferred to JUCO and was JUCO player of the year. I'm not sure of the circumstances surrounding his transfer. Maybe he just realized Waco sucked donkey balls and Baylor is a shit-tier institution. If we land Jolly, then then I would jump Quinones and Precious to the top of my wish list. Of those two, I would prefer Quinones. We have a lot of length and relatively decent depth at the forward positions. We need shooters.
So we should know our full class by May 15, as that's the end of the regular basketball signing period.

Mason Garcia – Dawgs247 reported earlier in the 2020 QB from South Carolina will be in town and most believe this is a prospect that should rise in rankings sooner than later. Jackson Muschamp – 2020 QB from South Carolina and yes he is the son of South Carolina Head Coach Will Muschamp. John Young – 2020 four-star OL from Kentucky that recently received an offer from Sam Pittman. Terrance Ferguson – Talented 2021 OL from Peach County that already has a UGA offer and attended almost every home game this fall. Justin Robinson – 2020 WR that is a MAJOR target for UGA. Ran well at their camp last year in a 6-3.5 frame.
