Never played the Division but this game is my next “thing”. I loved the beta and it’s geared more towards people who play Destiny like myself. Just fired it up and I still really like it and I typically don’t like non FPS
Yeah this game is badass. With a crew running “strikes” and “raids” it has a ton of potential. It’s great as a solo game which is what I look for as I’m not a huge social gamer
Played through the intro. The game is beautiful. Frame rate is still an issue, and the homebase is still real shitty. Loved the demo so I’m excited to put some time into it once I get back from vacation. Will be playing with friends
I did the same and also the first mission last night before bed. Same issues as well as some weird sound issues. Game is definitely rough but the potential is there.
I hope so. I'm hoping Destiny 3 is also the final Destiny and they will just keep building on that one.
That’s what I ran with during the demo. Best javelin to set up combos with. The icicles were my favorite. You could freeze whole hordes with them. Only downside is they don’t do much against bosses.
There is definitely some BS on higher difficulty. Getting hit out of nowhere and just being one shot is annoying.
It’s really fun on easy mode but being able to play it on the harder difficulty means you better have all your shit together. I’ve said it from the start as I feel I’m not that good at the game therefore I want to play it more to become better as that’s the only way I see that you can improve. It doesn’t matter what your gear or weapons are compaired to how well you can “move” during a fight.
Storm is super fun to play with. I figure this type of game I want to deviate from traditional gun play and the ice-lightning combo is super satisfying.
Unlocked Colossus class for my next javelin. Never used it so figured I’d give it a whirl but I’ve played a few missions where people were wrecking shit with them.
I've unlocked all 4 now but I'm still addicted to my Storm. Like an AC-130 up there raining down fire.
Didn’t like the Collosus class on my first play through. Might be my play style but just wasn’t my thing.
And now you get to replay all those awesome story missions until you're level 30 before getting anything new
Not gonna lie I don’t remember 90% of those missions anyways because I wasn’t really paying attention
I will say I am enjoying how the game controls and how intuitive it is. I’m a few hours into the 10 hour trial and will probably deplete that then assess how much I like the game. It doesn’t feel like a good purchase at $60 but I’d probably buy in if there was a price drop in the near future, which I would think there would be.
It’s the same as with Destiny. Hell with Destiny they expected people to collect and read cards to figure out more of the story.
Destiny didn’t have a ton of the annoying design decisions that this has. I give this a lot less room for error being 4 or 5 years down the road from Destiny’s launch. I can forgive a lack of direction if the gameplay is scintillatingly good and the game flows well.
Destiny kind of forged the path. Anthem should have learned from their mistakes no doubt. I gave D2 a lot less leeway because they didn't learn from their mistakes.
The one thing I also enjoy about this game is there isn’t that weapon that you basically “have” to have to give yourself a huge advantage in the game (at least not that I’ve seen yet)
Aaaaaand between this and the horribly inefficient system to equip new loot I think I’m about out on this game
Yep, that's probably one of the most crucial aspects you have to nail in a loot shooter. Borderlands 2 still the GOAT in that regard.
You could get some crazy builds in Borderlands 2. Before they nerfed the Bee you could do some stupid damage with the Conference Call. Used to solo bosses.
They have their uses but doesn't fit how I want to play. But I love playing with a someone who knows how to use one.
If they fix some of the issues I can definitely see myself sticking with this for a while. Love coming up with different builds and what not. Up to Grandmaster lvl 1 now.
