The chicken pot pie is a top 5 bham dish for me. It’s definitely the best meat and three in the metro.
I took some out of town coworkers there last night. It was my first time and we got drunk and put on costumes. I even applied a temporary tat to my neck which was a major pain in the ass to get off this morning. We were all hungover as shit today.
Did Breakout followed by Gianmarco’s before going to Atomic. It was a fun night and also my first time to do Breakout, which was also really fun. Our team got out in 44min which was about 10mins better than the next closest team from our company
Greek Meat Balls Mac & Cheese Greens Roll Johnny’s is elite even though the owner is a fucking psychopath
He gave me some great recs for NYC next week that I am looking forward to. Also going to check the bar Laura Newman used to work at.
yes, i know, this is a really stupid question. i need a haircut and have no idea where to get one. the entirety of my adult life has been spent no guard shaving and then letting it grow until i decide to shave it again. so, where do people get haircuts?
Clay at Vestavia Barber shop on 31 by Mark’s Outdoors cuts my hair and does a really good job IMO. I, too, shaved my head for about 10yrs until a couple years ago. There are several barbers in there and I feel they all do a good job.
Bad look, Hoover/Spain Park. https://www.rawstory.com/2019/03/ju...wishing-put-black-people-concentration-camps/
Letting all that privilege and money get to their heads. Would never see this at a fine institution like Mountain Brook City Schools.
While I enjoy this bit I feel like I should note in earnest that when I moved to Mtn Brook in 9th grade one of the first conversations I had was some dude explaining to me “the difference between black people and n words” (with him obviously using the actual word) It was a bleak sign of things to come
There were two huge tvs on either side of the bar and they played soccer, cycling, auto racing, and a bunch of other shit nobody came there to watch. It didn't bother me, but obviously it wasn't a draw.
they were inside and exclusively showed european sports (and were extremely cunty if you asked to turn on basketball for instance), save for saturdays when they would show cfb so i guess they're just not gonna have TVs now except on saturdays (maybe a projector?) or just not turn them on? idk edit: got wes tegg 'd and also after rereading it seems as though they'll have the TVs still there just not turned to sports except for cfb saturdays
I guess I should say seems silly to draw a hard line on only showing cfb....like in the spring March Madness...etc
the mad from ppl with kids in the comments is fun to track if u wanna have kids move to hoover and hang out there
You're 100% correct. Very predictably, they missed the entire point. I had a client in town for a mediation on Tuesday and took him to Carrigan's Monday night. Immediately, I noticed him looking around for TV's.
As a dad* I am more offended by your suggestion that I should move to Hoover than I am by Brat Brot becoming 21 and up. Brat Brot becoming adults only is A-Ok with me. You, however, can fuck right off. Spoiler *and a thread starter
lol i nearly added a spoiler to say that i will of course completely reverse this stance when/if i one day have kids
yeah i love going to otey's and running into the kid who sold me lortabs in 11th grade and was later dishonorably discharged from the military /mtn brook problems
That concept at Brat Brot still sounds like a mess to me. Them and El Zun Zun will both end up casualties of identity crisis.
Their policy on serving to parents: if you are sober enough to notice your kid is about to get run over in the parking lot, you can have another beer.
