This is a cartel/DEA fiction novel. I was referred to it by a friend. It's ok but I don't know if I'm even going to finish it. I don't like his writing style it seems all over the place and I don't like the abrupt changes. Anyone else read this?
Love his style, and he's one of my favorite writers. I don't love THIS book as much, however, the follow-up, Cartel is phenomenal imv.
Reading it now. Just over half finished and like it, but it is a bit on the long side and probably would be better if it was 10-20% shorter.
Anyone reading the Border yet? Kindle says I am 43% through the book and so far I am thoroughly enjoying it.
I will for sure, but haven't started. Currently going through all the Stormlight Archive books and it's taking a while.
Ive ripped through Winslow's books the last few months. Read The Border Trilogy first and it was absolutely amazing. IM glad I read it first because then I read Power of the Dog and Savages. They were incredibly cringy and the writing style was awful. Then read The Force, and it was back to the great style, character and plot development in the Border Trilogy. Love Winslow, one of my new favorite writers. Kind of bummed it will probably be a while before he comes out w anything else.
Questions since it's been like 7 years since I've read Power of the Dog. 1. What happened to Callan? 2. What happened to Nora? 3. What happened to Father Parada? Did he start the Settas?
