They are freak athletes, and I would hate to waste them both at a position we don't use in the passing game. Plus, I assume the top two TEs in recent memory don't want to go to the same school and have to compete with each other.
I don't even know where to begin on the QB board. RB: Evans Milton Lloyd Bowman The other kid out of Texas I assume we just get whichever two 5*'s want to come. Dell will be in his bag.
VIP Nugget: With decision looming, 4-star set to visit UGA VIP ByKIPP ADAMS 4 minutes ago Share 2 Comments (Photo: 247Sports) On Thursday, Georgia offered newly-minted Top247 quarterback Carson Beck(Jacksonville, Fla./Mandarin). Beck, the reigning Mr. Football in the state of Florida, has told reporters a decision is likely to come soon. He admitted at last week's Opening Regional that Florida was the school leading his recruitment heading into the home stretch, with an unofficial visit set for March 12 that many have circled as a potential commitment watch date. But the Bulldogs will now have a chance to throw a monkey wrench into that plan. Per 247Sports Recruiting Analyst John Garcia Jr., Beck will visit Georgia on Saturday. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound signal caller has a relationship with Bulldogs' offensive coordinator James Coley and assistant Todd Hartley, a stout recruiter in the Jacksonville (Fla.) area has a strong relationship with Beck and his father from his time on staff at Miami. Beck has been in Athens twice, once for a game in 2017 and once again for camp last June. 2COMMENTS Georgia's offer has Beck intrigued and he is looking to see what the Bulldogs have to offer this weekend. Beck was a standout at the camp last week, earning an invite to the Elite 11 after throwing for 3,546 yards and 39 touchdowns his junior season. Beck, a former Alabama verbal commitment, is ranked as the nation's No. 62 overall prospect by the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, No. 3 pro-style quarterback, and No. 7 overall prospect in Florida. All 13 Crystal Ball predictions are currently in favor of Florida landing his commitment, but that could potentially change after this weekend's visit.

Yikes... but Rusty ***Couple of Notes hot- Replies: 0 - Views: 1 - Started By: Rusty Mansell +0 from 0 users Rusty Mansell 46164 posts 56 seconds ago VIP Had many text over Holyfield's time today. Definitely not good, trained with a track guy that is a 60m specialist. Not saying that any way good or bad, just the direction he went. It may not have mattered who he trained with , he may be a 4.7 guy in the end. One thing you may or may not know, schools dont test 40's. UGA, Alabama etc those schools dont make their kids run 40 during testing. The kids may test each other etc. They test for lifting etc but not running sprints, no need to. Those are the last 40's any of these guys run ever again anyway. He has some good game tape , but he is going to have to find a way to run a 4.6 or he may go undrafted. Not a natural ball catcher either, so just hope the best for the kid.
Is. UF is the leader but a good visit will likely make it pretty even. Enos is kinda rubbing him the wrong way at miami
Also I’m sure/hoping he fixes it by pro day. Bad stance and start or he’d be in the 4.6’s at worst imo
Idk why our fans ever thought he was a fast guy. He certainly never looked it. He has a nice burst to get around the edge on stretch plays. But he's just a good ball carrier and not a liability pass blocking. Today went about expected for me, I thought he was a high 4.6 tbh. So maybe 4.8 is a bit off. He will make a roster for a minute bc he can run hard, get yards, and has tread left on the tires. But I never expected him to have a prolonged NFL career....he just needed to leave school bc he was not going to gain much by staying. Esp with Zamir szn. Rusty is a moron thinking .1 seconds is the difference. And he amplifies that by noting its the last 40 he will ever run anyway.
Ran a laser 4.85 two weeks ago. Never would have guessed that I could beat Nauta in a foot race, let alone be pretty close to Holyfield. I get Holyfield leaving, b/c Zamir would have likely taken away some of his reps, but what was Nauta thinking?
We use the TE more than we get credit for. And I think with Coley you will see Woerner have a pretty big role this year. Nauta had good production/numbers when compared to TE's nationally.
Can someone explain to me why this team thread got going again? Was there some sort of fracture over on original Dawgzy? We've never had an active public team thread as long as I can remember.
Electronic makes an annual push to start the public thread back. He seems to be having more success this year.
I could be remembering incorrectly, but it seemed like Nauta got very few looks at the beginning of the year and then had good production in the second half.
Yeah I rember it that way too. I heard somewhere that we were 5th in the country in TE usage last year. If that's true, it seems our complaints about not getting them the ball enough are pretty overblown. There's also a pretty good chance that a TE that just ran basically a 5 second 40 wasn't just running wide open too often.
feels good af to have QB recruiting figured out after no one wanting to come in behind the Fields drama guess we did flip Dwan Mathis but think Beck will be better. Interested to see if we take a 2nd QB with the possibility of Fromm leaving. Robby Ashford still out there - teammate of George Pickens.
Really excited about Beck. I think he was the reasonable best case scenario. If we’re taking a second QB, I’d prefer Criswell to Ashford
