Knocked Clemson out of D1Baseball's Top 25 and moved into #24 I am officially declaring us #BACK in baseball, folks.
I keep trying to check 'show ignored content' to see what the taters and haters and losers (Ale) have to say about how #BACK we are but they are amazingly silent over the last two pages.
To be expected. This year isn't all that important tho. We just need to develop some maturity and leadership so those 4 5 stars we have coming in aren't tossed into the deep end. Dawn very likely wins another title in the next 5 years.
The whining after the good natured rivalry trash talk and moral victories after “only” losing by 21 in football this year took whatever fun was left out of it. Just think where the baseball series will go after that really unfair game in Greenville for the gamecocks moves to... Columbia... to level the playing field.
Imagine cheering for a baseball program that is allergic to the Supers and can't even win their rivalry series for an entire one year.
Some news in The State this am about more progress towards moving School of Medicine to the Bull Street site. If we pull off a new Law School and new Med School in 10 years that'd be pretty rad
According to Logan Davidson though they have the "superior baseball culture" there? Maybe he means on growing this haircut
They mean doing things like writing “our state” on their sleeves then getting dog walked off the field in a rubber game Just high culture things
Outside of Harley and Mlodzinski our staff is walking 1.77 per 9 on 81 innings so far this year The other 2 are walking 8.55 per 9 Still have high hopes for Harley though, his stuff is nasty. But I think we might have improved by redistributing Mlodzinski’s workload
https://www.thestate.com/sports/col...tball/josh-kendall-blog/article227026599.html “Some people are frustrated with him because sometimes he’s up and down, but Jake Bentley is growing and I’ve got faith in him,” Daley said. “I feel like he’s going to prove a lot of people wrong this year.” “The chief complaints about Bentley’s play are centered around his 30 career interceptions (14 last year) and his 1-10 record against ranked teams.”
Oh I'm not saying that any of them would be better to start this year, more so just lamenting the fact that people are yet again going with the narrative that he's "still growing" and that for some reason this is the year he hits his "potential".......I think we hit that ceiling a long time ago.
First drawing I've seen of where the new med school would sit within the Bull Street property. Bull Street is at the bottom of the map and Harden Street is along the left, so it's basically sitting across from Palmetto Richland Hospital. Most of the details are still way up in the air but seeing the property filled out like that with the historic buildings, baseball stadium, med school and some park/green space looks great
That looks great. Wonder how long before the neighborhoods by Elmwood area will be mostly gentrified. Lots of college students and recent graduates live there and have been buying houses.
The entire city of Columbia minus the statehouse grounds will be campus at the rate they're expanding
All true sons of the Palmetto State will be thrilled to see their capital city and flagship university so intertwined no doubt. This is something people in the Upstate can take tremendous pride in
Hot take: Luke Berryhill is the most talented player to come through SC since at least the CWS teams. He is an absolute unit.
