new Faye Webster album out May 24th via Secretly Canadian first single is called Room Temperature edit, Pitchfork posted an article with her a few hours after I posted this. If you are an Atlanta Braves fan, you will want to read this https://pitchfork.com/features/rising/get-to-know-faye-webster-who-makes-retro-randb-for-homebodies/
I have seen them 3 times also. I think they are great in concert. The first time I ever saw them was unreal. Casiokids opened for them and it was such an amazing experience.
A couple of new Foals tracks. They have a Radio 1 YouTube simulcast in about 5 hours for all of their new material live. This track is mellow and pleasing. Pretty sure this track will be remixed like crazy. I can see this being their summer hit.
I'll get you an invite. Just PM me your email. It is a torrance site, but unfortunately it is really difficult to get upload credits so you have to seed like crazy to maintain ratio or wait until there is a freeleech event to build up upload ratio.
what.cd was so much better than redacted. It sucks that it got shut down. I also had such a good system for finding new music on what. I have never really settled into redacted. For a brief while I was on ratio watch and then I uploaded a bunch of material. When the material went unseeded I lost my ability to get alerts which really sucks.
The shut down of what was the death knell for my torrance career. That and I'm now on what I assume is a monitored apartment complex network.
what is a monitored network? Don't you have your own ISP? Regardless, ther eis so much streaming and bandwidth today that is used that private torrance sites shouldn't throw up a flag.
redacted has done a good job of rebuilding what content. People mostly only download flacs now compared to 320 and vo when I used what. It requires a lot more seeding since the files are so much bigger. there is just something missing from the site. It doesn't feel like the community that what was. They need more freeleech events.
The wifi and cable is bundled into the rent. It's ass, too, I'm pulling maybe 16 mbps but I have no recourse to opt out and get my own ISP. I don't have access to the router that's locked up elsewhere in the building and don't even have ethernet outlets at all, I'm running shit exclusively on wifi. Twas a poor choice.
I never heard of that. Yes, that would suck. I have a gigabit connection. I couldn't live without it because I have so many people streaming from my plex server. :)
for new stuff, redacted is as good as what to me the issue is older stuff, almost none of it is seeded unless it is super popular
you can put files in a seedbox then ftp them from that the complex would never know what you're downloading, but it would still be an issue if you have a cap on how much data you can download
nobody sleep on this guy. He used to play with Fool’s Gold, Cass McCombs, Sky Ferreira, Papercuts and Glasser. Papercuts is one of my all time favorite psych bands he's on danger mouse's label and his album comes out April 12. Produced by Rob Barbato (Kevin Morby, Girlpool, Cass McCombs) and features guest vocals from Grizzly Bear’s Ed Droste, the Shins’ James Mercer and Kacey Johansing.
Fuuuckkk yessss Nots with a new album out May 10th. First single is on their Bandcamp, will try to link after work They lost their synth player so it'll be interesting to hear them as a 3-piece group
I remember rumors about it in Phoenix when I moved here. Over 4 years later haven’t heard another thing.
It's sad, this shit internet makes me miss Comcast. Fucking Comcast, seriously. I at least had control and had 300 mbps for a time.
I didn't particularly like the Foals album What Went Down. But with today's release of a new Foals song, I thought you started paying for Spotify after that album came out
That will be sick. Maybe it's just me but Japanese Brekafast has started acting way weirder than she used to over the past year. I'm expecting her future releases to take a darker turn as a result. I'm excited
