I understand grabbing a Chicago style pizza out of morbid curiosity, but there’s much better pizza within a few miles of that place.
If any of you live in Gwinnett, early voting starts today for the MARTA referendum. There was a poll taken a few weeks ago that modeled the turnout based on the runoff for SoS in December (i.e. old and more white). It showed something like 42% in favor of the referendum and 49% not in favor with the remaining undecided. If we don't get good turnout, a bunch of old selfish pieces of shit are going to seriously hurt transit in the metro for many years.
Damn, B's Cracklin caught on fire like their savannah location https://www.ajc.com/news/breaking-n...-catches-fire-atlanta/VNA97z4ecBLXdQeHpn48BL/
Thought they were absurdly over hyped Food was decent. but not great. Maybe they should look I to why their restaurants keep burning down and add some fire precautions
Can we sacrifice the Jim n Nicks instead of having Heirloom and B's Cracklin go up in flames near my work?
Not for me, but for a friend: - Looking for places that have good vegetarian/vegan food - Also looking for good brewery options (anything good by the beltline?). Right now they're planning to go to Sweetwater - They're staying next to the aquarium because apparently this whole trip was planned in Atlanta just for going there - Dates are 3/22-3/24 if there's any noteworthy events going on that weekend As always, thanks for the help.
New Realm brewery is on the Beltline and it’s solid but not spectacular. Not sure about vegan specific places but just about every place in town has vegan options these days.
Youre going to find Vegan options just about everywhere. But if you need Vegan only and nothing else, Slutty Vegan, Plant Based Pizzeria, and Local Green. Brewery = New Realm on the Beltline. 3 Taverns in Decatur. And the development around Eventide is fun too.
Would rather that but even Slopes in Sandy springs had burned and closed for repairs a few years back. Shit seems unavoidable. Would be nice if heirloom opened a second spot that wasn't in half a liquor store
Best beef Wellington in the city not named Marcel? Preferably somewhere you don’t have to order 24 hours in advance.
New Realm was smart to be the first brewery after the law change and on the perfect location. Beer could be better but they could serve piss and still rake in cash.
Any recommendations for restaurants out by the Perimeter Mall? I'm staying at the Hilton out there next week and the client's office is across the street.
Mostly chain garbage as others have noted but a couple of miles away off Roswell Road you can fined Rumi's Kitchen and Le Petit Maison...both solid choices. Del Frisco's and McKendricks are good steakhouses in the perimeter area also if you want to spend that kind of money. You can also go over to Joey D's and probably find some whores and desperate, middle aged realtors hanging out at the bar (so I've been told ).
Sage Woodfire wasn't that bad, but I'm not some smarmy picky ITP only eater like the rest of the funboys. The french cafe over there is nice too in the evening.
Thanks guys, that was kind of the impression I got when I was looking online that's why I wanted to ask here to find out if there were any restaurants I was overlooking. That Rumi's place does look really good so I'll definitely do that one night. Last time I was in town I was staying in Buckhead so this is a significant downgrade in regards to choices. I'll be meeting a friend in Clarkston one of the days at an Ethiopian restaurant that we always went to when I spent a summer there working with all the refugees in that area.
Anyone have a tailor they recommend near midtown? Need to get a suit altered, not just a simple alteration.
Sunflower Cafe in Buckhead will have some strong vegetarian/vegan option. R Thomas very close to will have some good options as well.
Get the Lamb Shank at Rumi's. Just had it last week when the boss was in town and it was superb. For people in Buckhead, we went back to Kyma. Place is a bit over priced, but I still think best place for fish in the Atlanta area. Was terribly quiet at 7pm on Friday night though.
I have had a half dozen shirts and pants altered at Kim's in Ansley but never a suit. She has done a nice job for me. Can't speak to suits though
Not too shabby of an area. Home value should continue to go up over there. Plus, close to Marcel, JCT Kitchen, Cooks and Soldiers as well. Lots of great food options nearby.
