I get that, but how can we not have one single competent wing on the bench? Like I know there are depth issues in MLS, but if it’s that bad we need to do something different formation-wise if Gressel is out.
luckily we'll get another shot at some Liga MX king with Campeones Cup when we'll (hopefully) have things sorted out in the Benz too
Pogba and Bello playing with Atl 2 tomorrow, would've thought FCC would be a good spot for Bello to get some burn
Trying to get some friends to go tomorrow. They’re cheap and lame though. I wish I had been able to get season tickets.
I missed the first goal, but this hasn't looked great from what I've seen. They just aren't trying to send the ball downfield.
They should be. One chance created against a USL team with maybe three legitimate MLS pieces is fucking embarrassing.
First time I can remember a chorus of boos at the final whistle. De Boer needs to be less stubborn and change his tactics or he won’t be here long.
Honestly, the loudest cheer of the second half was Garza being subbed on. If we keep up this 3-4-3 with no changes, we’ll see how fickle this crowd can be.
Good atmosphere during the first half last night. 2nd half I think everyone could feel a Cincy goal coming. Cincy fans were above me and seemed to bring a good crowd. Still holding out for Escobar to return when we can attack well on both wings. De Beor is really pissing me off with the 90" sub.
Thinking Tito is just resting for Wednesday and I liked seeing Carelton coming in. Also think Shea and Carelton have to be related. Never thought I'd be happy about the International Breaking coming up.
De Boer said there wasn't enough space for him to operate, which I can see as a reason not to give him the start, but it's idiotic not to bring him in late when we need a goal with his ability to strike in an instant
Went to the game yesterday. Despite it being a draw, it really felt like a loss. Especially considering Cinci's first game where they got their asses kicked. Happy that Garza got the ovation he did. Where was Tito? One thing that seems to be a big problem right now is speed in the final third. Barco and Pity aren't speedsters, and can't get behind a stacked defense like Almiron could, so Josef isn't getting any service. Tito has plenty speed, so I'm hoping Tito -- if he plays -- can provide that spark the offense needs right now. Still frustrated, but I haven't reached the Chicken Little stage yet.
I'm about two or three more bad performances away from Chicken Little. FdB has now seen what we are willing to tolerate and will hopefully make the correct adjustments in the next few weeks to get this shit show back on track. The last five games have barely been enjoyable to watch ("home game" vs. Herediano notwithstanding). I spent most of the game last night just wondering wtf we were doing to be so feckless against a shitty expansion team.
I really wish we would get away from the 3-4-3 in the short term. With Tito being a forward that leaves no room for him to be on the field and he is too good of a talent to ride the bench. Forget everything I'm saying if they held him out for wednesday depth.
That’s fair. Like I said, I’ll give him a chance. But if we’re being honest, what he’s doing with his system sure as hell seems like square pegs in round holes.
