Howard in a different offense could be a lead back. Just not this one we agree on that. With that said he’s not a upgrade over Howard and we still need a RB
Ewww. Give me Suggs on a 1 year deal instead of Houston. He’s a shell of what he was 3 years ago. Will dominate the 1 game a year he feels 100% and be a ghost the other 6 or so he actually plays in.
He signed with the Cards I would imagine Houston would be added as a situational pass rusher I think outside of Bell they likely spread the money they have out amongst multiple players after all the big money is spent
That sucks. But yes, if it’s Houston is nothing but a pass rush specialist I’m cool. No way I would move Floyd and count on him as an every down player.
I just can’t see us spending that much money on edge rushers between, Mack, Houston, and Floyd. Someone is probably the odd man out (Floyd)
Floyd was fantastic once he got that cast removed from his hand last season. I have no clue where this “move on from Floyd” stuff is coming from because I haven’t seen a sniff of that from anyone who follows the Bears. Houston, Mack and Floyd could all be on the field at the same time. You can never have enough pass rushers in the nfl.
2 years at $5 mill a year for a 4th string WR/ 3rd string RB/ and KR? He’s not even that good of a WR/RB. We gave him the same money we gave our starting Nickelback...no thanks.
More toys for Nagy and a huge upgrade to ore return teams. 2 for 5 isn’t bad. Not a ton of draft picks. Got to fill the gaps in FA
2 for 5 isn’t bad? Our starting nickel got 3 for 16. It’s a bad signing, if we’re gonna spend that money on special teams spend it on Gostkowski
I don’t think kicker is off the table they still have money for a kicker. RB, S, Edge and OL all going to be via the draft
He's pretty valuable as a returner. Our return game has been garbage since Hester. Patterson finally gets us back to having a threat there.
So are we going to move Howard and draft a RB or go with Cohen/Howard/Davis trio this year then draft/FA next year?
We traded him for a 4th round pick. He should be worth less, he fucking sucks. No, really, I hope you sign him because his ability to tackle is laughable. He gets a few picks a year, but gives up deep passes too. Dude was garbage since his pro-bowl year.
That barner bitch will be touring churches throughout the southeast talking about how mean those yankees were to him for missing kicks.
Looks like I might have to bust out some text messages where a certain “poster” cries about his GM trading a “top 5” safety for a lousy 4th round pick.
He needs surgery on that heel but refuses to get it. 18 total tackles in the last 2 seasons combined.
He was better than the UFA backups, doesn’t mean he is anything other than a mid-range starting safety who isn’t a consistent tackler, takes terrible angles, and has steadily regressed the last few years.
Browns place Duke Johnson on the trading block, wonder if he could replace Howard? I know he’s an upgrade as a receiver but is he a decent runner?
We already have an undersized recieving back who’s better than Johnson. Unless Howard is traded I don’t see the Bears doing anything else at the position.
That’s good stuff, it’s a wonder Suggs didn’t want to take a cut to play for the best D in the NFL. We may still have enough to make a run at Gostkowski. Anyone have our updated cap? It should have been $25 mill to start with the Mack restructure. With the Patterson, Skrine, Clinton-Dix, signings that accounts for around $15 mill, throw in Larson, Braunecker, Mike Davis and we probably have 7 mill or so left. Our rookie pool money can’t be shit without a 1st or 2nd. Maybe $5 mill left overall?
$12 mill before the Clinton-Dix signing would be pretty close to what I figured. Kevin White signed with the Cards. How long before he’s hurt?
This is great because Justin Houston would still be in play or a top kicker maybe both White signing is big because it helps with us possibly gaining a comp pick in 2020. Need Callahan to get paid.
