It'll be a full game tomorrow and probably from here on out. I'm enjoying the tournament and getting a little more insight into these great players. Roger out there tarnishing his legacy. Gotta think Ken's squad is the heavy favorite after watching Matt and Ken dominate.
Arthur never picked up his phone when the contestant coordinators were calling him to be on the show. He only called them back once the show and contestants had already been announced.
Re: chu He’s apparently a really strange dude and went through a messy divorce. I can’t remember all the details, but chu also said some really childish and borderline inappropriate things throughout on social media. I wonder if that played a larger role in him not being on this show.
Did any of you know the answer to that final question? I sure didn't. Alan looked like he might start crying.
I had no idea, couldn't even think of something to guess. Also, Austin vs Buzzy vs Colby was literally everything I wanted it to be. Great round of the game.
It was really tough but seemed semi obvious after the fact Was very diffixult but seemed semi-obvious after Alex gave the answer.
That would have put him out of range of the other players for final jeopardy If you're talking about the dude who wagered everything at 15k and didnt know the answer
Caught this new format earlier this week; really liked it. I can't remember her name but I like the turbo dork female player
Same here. As a legit nerd in good company itt, he’s the perfect level of smug bastard we need to make jeopardy work.
I bet Alex has considered who he'd like to replace him and the person has been approached. Not sure Ken has the charisma but is the obvious choice
Larissa. Funny enough, I learned today that she defeated the guy who defeated her sister in the Tournament of Champions and this week beat Ken, who knocked her husband out in Ken's original run.
she wasn't the judge yesterday. She is the judge for his sentencing on March 13. T.S. Ellis was yesterday's judge
Forgot to chime in earlier but just wanted to comment on how great the drama was for Alex Jacob's game. His team is in a hole and so he needs to absolutely kill it give them a chance to win. And he does exactly that. Dominates the round and then goes all in with a chance to lock up the game before FJ in what seemed like a friendly category. Even if you don't like his decision, the guy has had a ton of success doing it his way and it was great TV. Easily my favorite player who I haven't met personally.
That's Jeopardy for you. You never know what even a killer like Alex Jacob's blind spot could be. I knew it right away I'm sure because I lived through Pulp Fiction mania and saw that Urge Overkill video a million times on Mtv. He was a kid when that movie came out and it may not have registered nearly as much with him. Interested to know what his history with the movie is like. I saw where his wife said on Twitter she will have to watch it in private for the rest of her life lol.
Seriously, it’s the obvious choice. His whole fame is based on jeopardy and trivia in general. He already knows how the game is supposed to run/feel and is already well known to the jeopardy audience so it wouldn’t be that hard for the jeopardy audience to accept him as host. And this is America after all; if you go on a game show and dominate only to get passed over to host said gameshow years later when the current host bites it from cancer then that’s not an America I want to live in
I don't get the thinking on Ken. Great guy, smart, excellent writer, hilarious Twitter, but doesn't have the voice or TV presence to replace Trebek.
As Conan O'Brien overcame a famously shaky start to grow into a really terrific late night host, i'm confident Ken would grow into a great Jeopardy host. I really want the dynamic where everyone on the show knows the host would whip their ass at the game.
