Just finished extended highlights. That looked fun. Absolutely hate tnt having the contract for this. Not on YouTube tv.
I would say most will prefer Porto. Ajax would be 2nd but they have played well against Bayern and Real
I’m guessing everyone outside of England wants utd if they draw an English team but of course for us and city it would be nuts.
All been said but what a performance. Thank Allah Mane is in the form of his life. Don’t want City in the quarters at all, mostly because if we got crushed, which is possible any time out against City, I think it would fuck our heads up bad while Pep/City have demonstrated they can and will shrug disappointment off.
For not scoring any goals, I think people don’t see that Salah has really been in his best form all season along with Mane and VVD That outside foot pass was probably one of the best assists I’ve ever seen live
Lol let me rephrase, I don’t want City in the quarters at all because there are easier matchups and it would be wonderful to play Porto home and away for another UCL semi. I also wouldn’t hate Barca. Messi at Anfield would make me cum.
We’re back at the point no one wants to draw us just like Barca, RM (not this year), and now more recently city. The draw on Friday may decide the title race. If city get a tough draw, they’ll have to play on 3 fronts when they already have a bunch of miles on their legs. The opposite and not much changes for us as long as the CL games aren’t close to the Tottenham or Chelsea games.
If city go deep in the CL, all of their tough remaining games come near the end of the prem season. Friday is important for the rest of the season not just for the CL.
This one is “completely” random. Quotes since it’s UEFA and if Real we’re still in then shenanigans could happen. Previous group stage and round of 16 have restrictions on not getting clubs from the same country or who was already in your group.
We have the best defense in the league, but I'd still support paying VVD money to get another CB. Liverpool are at the point where improving the starting 11 is going to be expensive as hell regardless of position.
I also thought Matip played the best game I can remember for a CB with an OG. There wasn't anything he could do there. I'd be fine not adding a CB in the Summer and investing the money in boss attacker, if Gomez, Lovren, and Matip weren't so injury prone. Hell, even Nat Phillips was out with something. And while Hoever made that slick run against Wolves, he is is 17. We'll need backup fullbacks, but luckily I have complete confidence in Edwards and Klopp.
Fuck yeah we will Probably best option with Ajax...but Ajax was taking on that giant killer storyline
I think Liverpool still need a creative midfielder that can score goals. Another game, another game without a goal from the midfield. If they could get a partner for VVD, and a midfielder like Bruno Fernandes that'd be great. Shaqiri can be the rotational attacker.
He really hasn't in his entire career. I don't know if he's ever put up 2500 minutes in a season in his entire career
On one side you can’t help but get excited for the possible attacking ability he could bring to the midfield But again it’s almost unfair to expect much from a guy coming off a year long break and a blown knee
Porto - home Chelsea - home Porto - away Not bad considering. Need another big victory in first leg. City plays Spurs 3 times in 11 days. Last one is a league match. If they are to lose to Spurs that is where we have to hope it happens.
They are way deeper than Spurs. They can play their full B team and walk over Spurs in that 3rd game if they need to, Spurs have 0 depth
We need depth in front and in back, and another attacking mid. Don’t forget that we are likely to lose guys like Origi, Sturbridge, Mingolet, and Moreno (buh bye) - at the very least, those bodies will need to be replaced. We’ll challenge for the PL title again next year, and relying on youngsters to fill senior squad minutes is a big roll of the dice.
Wilson needs to prove it in the Premier League for me. Loan him to back to Derby if they get promoted
Or Shaqiri is not doing what he needs to do in training to get into the team. We thought the same of Fabinho with how long it took to get game time.
