300 does seem like a lot. But I don't really know I'm not sure why people are freaking out over employee cuts. There have been many examples of re-orgs and employee cuts from F100 companies recently and it isn't necessarily a sign of the company collapsing.
They are cutting recruiters and ended up only closing a handful of stores Just b/c a company is growing doesn't mean they can't have excess employees
Funny you say that, from today: Y I K E S It’s less relevant when put it in perspective with Tesla’s hiring overall. People in this thread disregard they hired like crazy last year even with layoffs. https://electrek.co/2018/10/15/tesla-45000-employees-elon-musk/
Or excess stores, just look at LA or Bay Area there’s a lot of redundancy. It’s good Tesla is focused on costs rather than spending on things they don’t need.
They only closed a handful bc they didntd even look into the cost of breaking leases before they announced they were closing almost all stores.
Musk sarcastically saying Tesla will be on Mars in 10 years. I'm guessing $tsla people will be all over that
I need to see the Y and the 3 side-by-side. They look damn near similar, maybe more of hatch back. It seems like it might look a little better than the 3.
I need to see better pics of it, but it looks better than a prius. I don't hate the 3 tho, so maybe different tastes Kinda looks like a smaller bmw X6 w/ the sloped back vs a normal looking SUV
Yea havent seen good photos yet, the 3 looks good when not with aero wheels. Its like the porsche macan style CUV's, they arent my cup of tea but CUV's sell.
I don't think it looked like it had a hatch back/vertical rear window. They could have done a 360 view during the release vs the awkward clown car drive in and make 19 people get out of it
I can't tell if I kind of like it. I'd like to see it next to the X and the 3. Almost reminds me of GTs....kinda
I think it looks pretty good from the side. I see where dblplay1212 gets a hatchback vibe a little bit
Whats it go up against? The Nissan Rogue? (which apparently sells 400,000 a year in the US who knew.)
Haha, I thought it was a mazda. Yea I just don't follow the CUV market not my type of car so was curious what others looked like.
They actually did that last night as part of the demonstration. They had seven people in the car when they drove it on stage.
It was on the livestream last night. I'm guessing it's on YouTube Somewhere? I was kind of surprised when people kept getting out of the car and there were seven people inside. I agree that the back seat has to be absurdly tiny
I searched Twitter and couldnt find it. TheresT no chance 7 people can comfortably fit in that car. 7 college kids on the way home from the bar sitting on top of each other? Sure. 7 people comfortably for more than a 20 minute ride? No.
Yeah, IDK. These were grown adults, mix of men/women. I haven't been in many, if any, 3rd row seats that were comfortable
I'm comparing a real 7 passenger to a "7 passenger." It's not just a Model Y issue, lots of cars claim X amount of passengers when it's laughable to think that many people actually fit in the car. I know the Rogue says 7 passengers but it's a much bigger SUV than the Y.
Seems like just finding a reason to bitch, no?? I'd say all 3rd rows in non Full Size or XL SUVs are trash.
So dblplay1212 Not a lot of specs but Google tells mea Rouge has 61 cubic feet of cargo space and the Y has 66. That's a decent bit more room. Not sure how it all is configured inside but maybe the two are comparable
