I'll wait for someone other than Tesla to measure it. The Rogue looks to be a much bigger SUV. The Y looks more like a Prius than an SUV. I mean Musk was literally looking down at the roof of it. The Rogue looks much taller and longer. Calling the Y an SUV is comical. The more I look at it, it's not that bad looking, but it's not an SUV.
The Y will be smaller than the X, and only 10 percent bigger than the Model 3, with a hatchback instead of a sloping backside. "SUV"
The second link on YouTube under "model y reveal" shows 7 people getting out of the Y. At 37:30. Weird how easy it was for me to find.
Actually you can skip around in YouTube videos. There's a little bar at the bottom of the video where you can just tap to go to whatever part of the video you want. Saves you from having to watch an entire video.
In the first picture, the arm of the driver as well as the heads of the other two men behind him are clearly visible. You can also see two more people on the other side of the car. In the next image we see an additional two people exit the vehicle. That makes 7.
Wait what? Watch the video. You're counting someone twice. They all get out and walk off together. There's 6. One didn't just disappear.
Who the fuck cares how many people get out. 6 or 7.... doesn’t matter. Has seat belts for 7. Probably only confortable for 4. But that’s the same with any midsize SUV.
Again, calling this thing an SUV is comical. It sits low like a sedan. It's a hatchback. Calling it an SUV is disingenuous.
I'm not; you're 100% wrong on this. Three men initially get out on the left side. ^Three different men getting out of the left side of the vehicle. Above, in the first picture, we see half a man's face and his arm, and another man behind him. In the next picture the man's face is now out of frame, but his arm is still in it. We also see two heads behind him. This isn't some weird conspiracy. But I do love the idea that the only person who noticed their 7 seat vehicle only had 6 people in it is some guy on a message board and not any reporter or person at the actual event. To say nothing of the idea that in a symmetrically laid out car, they were able to fit someone in one of the third row seats but not the other.
Left side - 2 men and a woman Right side - 2 women and a man At no point are there 7 people getting out of that car. And nobody is making a big deal out of if bc Tesla didn't say 7 people got out of that car. They said it seats 7, not that 7 got out of that car.
If you want to believe that Tesla's claim of being able to fit 7 people is so dubious that they couldn't even manage to fit 7 in it at their own event that's your choice. But the pictures I've posted clearly show 7 people and show that you're wrong.
You're literally making stuff up. Your first pic shows 2 people out of the car on the left, two men. Your 2nd pic shows a 3rd person getting out, which is the women. That's 3 on the left side total. At no point can you show 7 people standing next to the vehicle. They all got out and walked the same way.
I mean good lord, how much of a homer do you have to be to watch a video that clearly shows 6 people and somehow claim 7? I'm sure you can squeeze 7 in there. They didn't for the reveal. It's 6 people. It's clear as can be. They all walk off together. 7 didn't get out and then 1 go right and 6 go left. It's 6 people. A group. They all walked away together.
Those are two different guys you're counting as the same person. Notice how in the picture below, that I've posted several times now, there's the drivers arm and then two men behind him:
First pic: short hair, balding on top, clean shaven Second pic: Longer hair, not balding on top, beard Three different men got out of the left. There were seven total people exiting the vehicle.
So the mystery man in the back just disappeared, never to be seen again. I wish there was another angle where you could see everyone exit at once instead of people just appearing. Convenient they didnt show that.
He could have walked up to open the door. He's already standing outside the car as the guy in the front is closing his door. So can you show him getting out of the car or no?
No, I'm clearly talking about the people getting out the car. Clearly Elon was on the stage the entire presentation. He was the presentor. Don't be stupid
No dbl, I don't have a clear shot of bearded guy exiting the vehicle. Weird how that wasn't a point of contention when you were incorrectly arguing that there were only 6 people.
We also don't see clearly see the guy on the right get out of the vehicle. So I guess our options are either they didn't feel the need to explicitly show every single person exit the vehicle or they weirdly decided to run two guys on stage who weren't actually in the car. And then no one on Twitter pointed out that they had two guys come up who weren't actually in the vehicle and only five actually exited it. One of those options seems much more complex and nonsensical, but I just can't put my figure on which one it is.
A lot of manufacturers took the same chassis and just put a slightly bigger 'shell' (CUV) on it so they can charge 3 grand more. Looks like Tesla is doing that now.
