At 1:29 it gives a better height profile and looks the same as the X At 5’6”. Which is the same as the Rav 4, BMW X6, CRV, Rogue, and Subaru Outback. I think it’s just a sign of the times, there are only a handful of true SUV’s ala 90’s/2000’s style (Expeditions,Tahoe’s). Then there’s a bunch of these CUV, small SUV, hatchbacks. Whatever you want to call them.
The Y will be even worse with 3 rows. Would be smarter to just make 2 rows with more room imo. That goes for all mid-size cars. Anything less than a full-size should have 2 rows imo.
It looks the same height as a Y and X. When I think SUV, I think Grand Cherokee, Explorer, Tahoe, 4-Runner, Land Rover, etc. Not those hybrid hatchback things.
Yes. Same as Rouge. I think it's a dumb option for both so they can claim "7 passengers" when nobody in their right mind is stuffing 7 people in that car.
Do you not see how much space is between the seats? If you were to get in a minor accident, I'm willing to bet there would be multiple leg injuries. Hell there may be leg injuries just trying to get into the damn car.
I'm sure this will be properly shown when they get 0 stars from gov't crash safety But here the car will not fall out of the sky and kill you
It doesn't seem that much different than the interior of thr Rogue. Think I'm going to have to pull a dblplay1212 and trust th car developers since they get paid a lot of money to make cars and we don't Should put that to bed
But seriously, my Lexus has zero fucking room in the back seats, probably less than the view above. I don't think people get their legs broke in IS crashes. I don't really get the comments, which is why I asked. Ton of smaller/crampt cars
You don't see much difference in leg room from front row to second row? There's no chance you can ride in the Y with 3 rows and not have your legs digging into the front seat. There's literally 6-8 inches between the seats. Row 3 in the Rogue isn't much better but at least the 2nd row is decent. Anything past an 8 year old can't sit in row 3 of the Y without folding their legs up.
Clearly underestimating the Tesla crossover game. Nah, it looks like a starter sized SUV like Ford ecosport or Volvo xc40.
I mean first off, angles. They can make a fat chick look skinny. I’ll wait till we see something more definitive to have judgments.
They should find some angles that make it look like an SUV if they are going to call it an SUV. As of now, it's a hatchback.
Ok, so the model Y has even less leg room than that? LOL. Don't get me wrong, I like some of their vehicles, but some of this shit is just plain laughable.
I am just laughing at the fact they created a 7 seat CUV/SUV/ whatever the fuck you wanna call it with (MOST LIKELY) less leg room than the model X in a car just about the size of a model 3.
Yea I don’t get it. I sure as fuck wouldn’t pay 3 grand for the 7 seat option. Maybe you can adjust the seats in the 5 seat format to something decent. I’m not a Small SUV guy though but a shit load of people are
Or we haven't even seen actual pics yet and someone is posting wrong pics? It can't be smaller than the 3.... Has there been a single complaint about the 3s leg room?
3rd row seats in general seem pointless to me. It wouldn't be a selling point but I'd be fine with a 3 if the rear seats folded down, idk if they do.
Virtually every news release callsnit a cross over SUV. I'm not sure specifically about Tesla or if that really matters.
Or did they jsut replace the trunk space with a 3rd row and pop the roof & not change the back seat configuration Recall an earlier complaint was it was 75% a model 3....so probably not with that logic
They had to have changed something with it, from one of the CNBC articles it's about 10% bigger than the model 3, and does feature "versatile seating and storage" aka back row folds down, possibly both back rows.
I just don't see what the Y brings to the table. It looks just like a 3. Sure, you can add a 3rd row but it's not functional at all. It's really just a 3 with the option to add a useless 3rd row. I don't see what it adds to the lineup at all.
It's 10% bigger but they are adding 50% more rows. With 2 rows, yes I assume there's a little more room than the 3.
