It's sad to say but Big Boi sucks without Andre. I've seen him a few times with RTJ and Big Grams and his shows are pretty awful.
We go to Lockn almost every year. Not sure how to feel about it. On the one hand, I'm happy with it being the Tedeschi-Trucks fest. Headliners look good. It's the step right below headliners that's confusing. Vulfpeck? Are they growing that much in popularity? They were OK like 3 years ago on Thursday night, but they had 2 sets that weekend and played the exact same set both times. I like the Revivalists well enough. But I just feel like there should be something else between them and TAB on Friday. Old Crow is kinda random for their spot. And all the late big late nights have yet to be added. Also weird to see no Umphrey's, Phil Lesh, WSP, SCI, or Warren Haynes, who've all been staples over the years. JRAD has done a couple late nights the past few years. I'm cool with them on the main stage, but there's definitely some good stuff coming that's just not announced yet. Some believe that the Ryan Adams news effected the lineup, because Lockn teased like they were going to release the lineup yesterday. Not sure that follows, he doesn't really fit the bill for this fest, other than he's done some dead-adjacent stuff before like playing with Phil and apparently recently recorded with Bobby. Some think Isbell may have taken his spot, but I just don't think he was going to be on the lineup as more than a featured artist on a couple sets. That said, good riddance, I've never been a fan. I'll take Isbell 100 times out of 100 over him. Excited to see what they add. BUT also holding my breath for Woodstock 50 news which should be coming this month.
Coachella, Movement, MoPop, and Burning Man on the docket this year. Coachella and movement have solid lineups
So for $229.50 you can get GA entry to Louder than Life, Bourbon and Beyond, and Hometown Rising() .Damn Louisville throwing down + Forecastle.
those are three pretty big headliners for such a small and young festival. I know they had JT a couple years ago but he is part of the ownership group IIRC
He is. They also cancelled much of last year because of rain. (Can't control weather). Have read traffic is a bitch getting out. I've wanted to go and check it out, but its always the weekend of Vols vs Gators so fuck that.
I'd blow my load over everything for Saturday Dead , Black Keys, Sturgill, GVF, Portugal, Leon, GC Jr. , Margo Price
We bought 4 day tix to lollapalooza today after debating doing Woodstock or lolla. A little disappointed after seeing the Woodstock lineup
Why did you buy before the lineups dropped? Just curious. Everything pointed to both of them dropping today/tonight/tomorrow.
We already booked flights/Airbnb, if it’s shit we will just party more in Chicago. It’s my first time going there
ariana and the chainsmokers are going to make the crowd nearly unbearable. but, i'd love to see Childish, TOP, The Strokes, Tame, The D, Gary Clark Jr.
user rezy you'll have a good time. we may still end up going. my fiance and i haev been the past 2 years, her sister lives in Elburn, about a 2 hour train ride away, and we have some friends who live in lincoln village. there's some bands i'd realllllly like to see, but idk if the price point is worth it. we always have fun, even tho the crowd can be really annoying. i base that on me being 33 and most of them appearing to be 18+ if that.
The New Respects are the only low card band I know on that lineup and I highly recommend them. Fun show.
Yeah actually pretty happy with the lineup, will definitely be at childish gamblino, tame impala and twenty one pilots
Buku was a lot of fun but they don't have nearly enough security for that festival. People were easily sneaking into VIP areas and climbing into areas they weren't supposed to. At one point about 15-20 people were on top of the shipping containers at the wharf stage. Good vibes though but the main stage sound quality was sorry if you weren't directly in the middle.
