Tito needs to be in the 11 if nothing else his speed. We are lacking that guy with breakaway speed like Almiron.
Went to game. Happy with result. FdB listened apparently. The team was so much more fun to watch tonight.
This can’t be said enough. He locked down Funes Mori, which I don’t think y’all realize how good he actually is.
I never asked, how were the fcc fans in Atlanta? I know a lot of people went out to Seattle for the first game and fox showed our section was full. Plus the orange stuck out a lot more against Seattle’s green and blue. It seemed like a good amount of people were going down to Atlanta but ESPN never showed our section.
I saw a couple walking around the "Gulch" which is kinda of the main tailgating parking lot and the away section was directly above my section and they seemed to fill up the one section they had pretty good.
Miles is a god. Something has to change in the center of the field. Our players aren’t ball cyclers like this kind of possession system needs.
2 Weeks off should do this team some good. Don't act like we didn't get frustrated with Tata. Martinez had 2 balls he likely would have put in the back of the net last year.
2 goals in 3 MLS games is a bit frustrating. That said, I thought the game tonight was much more fun to watch than whatever the bullshit we did vs Cincinnati. It seems like were trying to push forward but just a tick off our rhythm in the counter attack. Also, yes, Miles is a monster.
I'm trying to be patient with FDB and have seen some improvement since last Sunday against FC Cincinnati, but all the excuses that De Boer has been making about lack of training time and rest for our players is now here for the next few weeks. We only play three games over the next four and a half weeks so now we should have the time to finish implementing his style/system. Even if nothing changes in terms of results/style of play, FDB is probably going to be here until early June when we get to the Gold Cup break so calling for his job seems a bit unlikely.
Random, but I can't find any advanced metrics used in soccer. I was trying to find some model that looks at super sub efficiency or chances created/minute by striking "super subs". Curious of the overall effectiveness of them beyond the "eye test" or normal logic. Anyone know where to look for things like this?
Honestly I think people would give him a lot more grace if this is how he responds to things not working.
also it looks like my fox sports is being cunty showing the Preds game and espn+ will be blacked out, so any streams would be appreciated
yeah Pity should be good to go for New England, could use the rest even if he hadn't gotten dinged honestly
