Birmingham Legion vs. Bethlehem Steel had a good turnout. Mediocre football with a bad result but good turnout.
We thought about going to the Phoenix match there and it’s like equally inconvenient from both Brownsville and Corpus Christi. Edit: an hour closer to Brownsville but that’s still too far.
We have a big group taking the train out for the match. Terrible scheduling with it being the weekend before tax day for me or I’d be there.
Went to Vegas last year and it was...interesting. I think they have Cashman all to themselves now though so I think it’ll be more tailored to soccer.
No our baseball stadium is brand new, well 5 years, but it's pretty nice. Think it's been voted best stadium in the minors a couple times. Great food
Birmingham at Louisville got postponed from last night to this morning due to rain. Anyone know of a stream to watch it? Doesn't look like it'll be televised in Birmingham now. WE COULDN'T DARE NOT TELEVISE LOCAL CHURCH SERVICES INSTEAD!!!
Vegas absolutely embraces that old school minor league baseball style marketing combined with a Vegas flair.
I’ll be in Vegas this Saturday and I’m very tempted to drop the event I’m supposed to be at to go watch that.
Birmingham Legion host West Chester United tonight in the first round of the US Open Cup. Excited about it.
Phoenix is hosting New Mexico. If we agreed to buy tickets to the next round match we got tonight for free. If we lose or don’t host next round they’re still free. Going to be flying back from NOLA the night of the next round so hopefully we win and get drawn away.
I feel less bad about losing to New Mexico on PK’s now. Although we lost to a semipro side on PK’s in this round last year.
