we played like dick and had a chance to win. it stings bc duke morons think this validated their “we woulda won without zion!” idiocy but this team is a legit contender to win it all.
I may be drunk and not even on the team (shocking I know) but my focus is elite right now and I will be fan'n so damn hard
2017 against duke was a win we gave away and i am sure it pissed the team off can’t wait for next week
i guess you aren’t familiar but he is a legit sociopath actually. tells depressed people to kill them selves (as a doctor no less) and spends hours a day “trolling”. he’s a lunatic
a second year Coby is the first guy I've felt could legitimately challenge my Raymond Felton throne and everybody seems to underplay that factor when it comes to his decision
Ty was obviously better and I even argued as such on some youtube video back in the day (memory like an elephant), but a combination of timing coming out of the dark ages, Ray's determination/electricity, and passing ability (despite this also resulting in some pretty bad turnovers) have him on top for me. I've never felt as comfortable watching a guy run the team as I did with Ty though.
I promise you one thing, you will never see a fan fan harder than I will the rest of the season god bless
Anyone have an in for tickets in Columbus? I’m trying to go to either the whole weekend or Sundays game
just scalp tbh. i got into the game against lipscomb in charlotte of all places last year for $30. you shouldn’t have a problem in columbus
How on earth is Little still viewed as a lottery pick? I get the “drafting on potential” thing but he is the least NBA ready projected lottery pick I have ever seen. He is 2-3 year G league player right now if he comes out. What GM would use a lottery pick on that?
not too surprising, but glad to see we're looking to explore the grad transfer route for next year Spoiler The NCAA tournament hasn’t started for North Carolina, but its 2019-20 roster is already a major topic of conversation among IC subscribers. It was around this time two years ago that Cam Johnson announced his decision to transfer from Pittsburgh. Within hours, Johnson had a host of scholarship offers and interest from schools across the country. While North Carolina was definitely interested in Johnson, Williams and his staff typically don’t turn their full attention to roster building and construction until their season ends. That remains the case this year, though we can confirm UNC has already reached out to Akron grad transfer Daniel Utomi. Multiple sources confirmed the news to Inside Carolina on Wednesday morning. Additionally, we expect UNC to also reach out to former target and Charlotte native Rayjon Tucker, who is a grand transfer from Little Rock. This contact is essentially a phone call to say “We're interested.” In the past, the Tar Heels have waited until after the season to even touch base, and it’s my opinion that’s hurt them in some instances. By reaching out and confirming interest, UNC makes it unlikely a player who might seriously consider it announces a decision prior to further contact with Carolina. Both Tucker and Utomi told Inside Carolina they were interested in the Tar Heels and welcomed future conversations. Also keep William & Mary grad transfer Justin Pierce in mind. While no contact has been made officially, intel suggests he's a player UNC will look into. Still, don’t expect any visits or – frankly – a ton of information until the end of the season. Do, however, expect names of more grad transfers to be linked to North Carolina than in previous years. There are a couple of reasons for that. First, I think UNC, in general, has a need to be more active with unconventional signings (traditional transfers, grad transfers, overseas players, players released from their LOIs, decommitments) because of its projected roster construction. At the moment, UNC has scholarship offers out to three players in 2019 – Cole Anthony, Matt Hurt, and Precious Achiuwa. UNC is in a good place with Anthony, seems to be trailing for Hurt, and Achiuwa is anyone’s guess. Carolina could lose its five leading scorers from this year’s team (pending NBA decisions) and needs to reload. Paraphrasing one source, UNC’s doors are open to looking into any player with scoring ability. The other reason is Johnson. He has surpassed expectations many had for him two years ago, when the UNC staff hoped he’d be able to replace *some* of Justin Jackson’s production. Though Johnson’s circumstances were unique – great student, great family, two years of eligibility remaining – I believe his production has made Williams and his staff more amenable to graduate transfers. His decision to come back and showcase an improved game, in talking with a couple of folks familiar with the thinking of several NBA teams, has essentially made him a millionaire. “He’ll play in the NBA for a long time,” one source said. “I know people who are hoping talk about him dies down so they can get him later in the draft. What’s not to like? He’s 6-9, he’s a shooter, and he’s done it against some great players. Not a great athlete, but he’s proven himself.” North Carolina has long desired a large, immediate impact class in 2019. It, as we’ve mentioned in the past, would look into all possible channels to help it get this class. The initial grad transfer activity is proof its strategy hasn’t changed. • I know the common perception with UNC guard Coby White is that he’s “definitely gone” to the NBA. What I can tell you is that White, while of course he’s thought about it, isn’t focused on his impending decision. A source close to White told Inside Carolina the freshman's undivided attention is on winning a National Championship – something he said upon arriving at UNC last year. • 2019 UNC signee Jeremiah Francis is expected to be cleared for all activities by the time he enrolls at UNC in June. He and his family have discussed a potential redshirt season several times. Williams has told Francis and his family the decision is up to them. I get the impression that Francis won’t redshirt, even if he doesn’t play much next season. Missing a third-straight year of competitive basketball is not something he wants to do.
really, really want that tucker dude. explosive athlete who can shoot. he apparently listed us as one of his leaders in hs but we never pursued utomi responded to some ic weirdo dm’ing gun saying how he loves unc glad the cole/coby fever dream continues to cling to life support
the dream is removed from the ventilator and breathing on its own RT to send it your thoughts and prayers
pretty awesome the jump in mobility Armando made in the last year, can't wait to see where he is after working with Jonas also that passing
I liked KJ and I'm not afraid to admit it, shame he missed out on the two Chiz/Warren years when the secondary actually looked coached up
zone it is next round, remember when we used to suck pretty hard against the zone until playing Syracuse a few years in a row? I'll always thank them for that
his best game yet for sure. his bball iq is sketchy at times but he’s been a beast just destroying this zone
