My office this morning and Friday morning. Got that top floor (30th) corner view. Customer just bought the condo and is having me upgrade the equipment situation.
Here's how cool that pool is Here's how cool Lechnerd's pool is (Scale is in descending order of coolness)
I bought new jets to aim the water coming back into the pool for circulation without looking at the return jets. They are basically PVC pipe running at a 30 degree angle away from the wall. Because they are cut at an angle I have nothing to screw into. What's the best solution to this?
At work for a few more minutes. I'm not sure if you can see it because they're under water. The wall is flat. The PVC pipe the water returns back into the pool "jets" don't have any jet covers and never have since I bought the house. The circulation in the pool sucks so I was trying to attach "jets" so I can aim the water down more. The ones I currently have are about 2" and basically it's just a huge hole blowing water instead of having jets like every other pool I've ever seen. ------
This may sound dumb, and please forgive me if you have already done this. Have you tried putting your penis in the hole?
That is a tricky one. Probably best addressed when a remodel or resurfacing is done as the only solution I can think of involve chipping back to expose some pipe and attaching the proper fitting on the end that allows for the addition or removal of a variety of return heads. So in short, this one should be fielded by a local and trusted professional.
Any flange mount I have seen are going to come out straight, meaning the flange would dig into or stick out of the plaster at a pretty harsh angle considering the jets hit the surface of the wall at 30 degrees. Also, if you put an inside fitting on every return in the pool then you are significantly changing the overall hydraulics of the system and would most likely leave the filter pump oversized which will place a huge burden on the filter and most likely result in additional upkeep costs on the filter and/or filter and filter pump replacement.
I mean this is something that he could absolutely try to “rig up” but my professional opinion is this one is best left for someone knowing how to properly address the situation.
My office today, about 1-1.5 hours north of Dallas on a huge ranch overlooking the Red River on the Texas side. One of my favorite stops as the land is beautiful along with the house and pool. Also the pay is nice and can make it my only pool for the day.
The equipment room is nice but has it's own set of issues being dug out of a hillside. They have had to have many structural leaks repaired.
Every time I see a pool like this I tell myself that I won't be doing a concrete patio like everyone in SFL does.
No “diving board” and no higher insurance premium for having a pool with a diving board *edit although I am sure that is not why these customers did it this way, they have more money than god
I can't wait to redo my pool deck and refinish the pool but I just finished a complete interior remodel so it wont be for a while. I fucking HATE my Chattahoochee deck.
