In a perfect world, waters and Pache join Acuna, Riley takes over for Donaldson next year and our pitching prospects (at least 3) take a jump forward to join Folty, Ace, and Gausy. BMac bides time for Contreras and the remaining prospect arms play in the pen, like Gohora and Fried. I still have 0 issue signing Craig to a contract and trying to do another 1 year contract on an OF upgrade for this year.
Also starting 3 Rookies out of 8 position players in 2020 doesn't seem very ideal What's more, BMac and Flow for another year behind the plate and another year older seems awful. Another reason we should have gone harder at Realmuto
Excuse me, I was off a year. I meant 2020 from the start. All regarding next year, starting 3 rookies
Somebody has to play, and we didnt ship off uptonx2, kimbrel, Simmons, etc to then sell those prospects off for similar caliber players. this was meant to be a homegrown build like the Cubs, or Ray's etc. We are continuing our plan of growing with youth (#blessed coppy) and not overspending on overpriced talent. If it works, its genius, but enough busts like Allard, Sims, etc turns us into the Cleveland Browns before 2019. If Riley, Waters, and Pache have the talent, along with Touki, Wright, Wilson on top of Albies, Acuna, Minter, Goat, Newk, Sroraka, then you do it. Sooner or later you pay to play, either your own or buy somebody else's FA
Happy opening day eve, gentlemen. Hope you guys have been practicing your melties. We go live tomorrow
I could see the Phils coming out and playing tight as shit with the expectations they have on them this year. I just read the series primer from Bowman and idk... the comments from Nola came of as a little arrogant. He was just naming off all the accolades the players in the clubhouse have and it just rubbed me the wrong way. It's like he thinks they have this thing won because of the names on paper in March. Maybe I'm just salty we didn't do much in the offseason. I tend to think when you have a manager like Kapler all these big expectations can mentally fuck a team. Yeah they're loaded but Kapler will have them wound so tight. Over the course of a season that can eat a team up in the clubhouse while playing for a guy like him. Hopefully the Braves are right there ready to take the division.
Actually the only trouble i’ve caused in this thread in months is making fun of Drown Em... you’re welcome! Sorry about those Bama/Clemson ass rape comments last week directed at him. I’m assuming that’s why you’re still so obviously upset about me. Don’t get upset and spin the narrative that I started this today please. Happy Opening Day guys!
Happy Opening Day! Here’s to a season of over exaggerating, the death of many starters and relievers, complaints of financial flexibility, dingers, 9th inning comebacks and walk offs, a division race, an MVP candidate, and a new flow chart. Let’s go!!
Hope springs internal but I was thinking 90 wins this season, that's of course if we figure out the bullpen.
Hello, I’m here for the daily extreme knee jerk reactions to everything possible. LETS HAVING SOME FUN
I wish the game started at 3:35 instead of 3:05 but at least I’ll miss Julio’s first 30 pitch first inning.
Happy Opening Day everyone. The hope of the new season is never stronger than today. Putting the frustrating offseason behind me and hopIng for the best. Chop On fellow Bravos!
If you’re a betting man and want to play a reverse jinx hard for the team, it’s probably worth dropping a few bucks on Harper going yicketty today. He’s got 8 in 40ABs against Julio with a 1.702 OPS. BODES WELL
