sucks, but we all knew it was coming. kluber should fetch a pretty nice haul if and when they decide to trade him. they should still have enough to win the central
White Sox have a current payroll of like 22 million, and the worst pitcher in baseball in the #2 spot. Ya we are a few years away
Are you eating some payroll somewhere? The way I see it yall ended up with the youngest, cheapest and maybe best (fairly soon) 1ber of the three ...
He did not have a bust out rookie year but due to a .195 babip or so. #5 TB prospect to start last year. .378/.425/.541 slash line to end AAA in 2017 ... Also paid off for me in DFS once or twice. He's got the pedigree. I'm really surprised the Rays are giving up on him for Yanny Diaz ...
i think edwin's probably on his last legs anyway. i'm not sure there'll be much of a dropoff between him and santana next year. bauers makes this a pretty nice deal for us i think
I'm sick of Dolan whining. It's a business...you have to spend money to make money. There have been multiple times this team was on the cusp and he refused to spend that little bit of extra money to get the team over the hump claiming he was 'losing money'. I'm guessing that the Indians made plenty of money in the mid-to-late 90's when they set the MLB record for consecutive sell outs. You have to put the team on the field first...then the fans come. Not the other way around. Go fuck yourself Dolan.
Really loved how he basically told us yesterday to enjoy Lindor now, because they're not going to pay for him when his contract is up.
We actually played pretty well last year when Leonys was in the lineup (for a short time) Kluber, Cookie, Bauer, Clev and Biebs is a starting 5 I'll be the lone optimistic one here
I mean, does 85 wins take this division? Shouldn't this be one of the worst divisions ever? Just make the playoffs and hope Kluber/Bauer actually deliver this year instead of trading one.
Early observations: It’s 30 degrees with a 30 mph wind blowing- people need to relax before making assumptions that this team can’t hit or whatever Allen needs to be starting for now as it looks like Bauers needs more time in the minors.
They have been struck out 27 times in two games. I don't give a fuck if they were playing in a hurricane. That's awful.
Honestly Dolan has made some excellent hires and we do a really good job developing our talent but he needs to stop being a cheap ass.
I don’t like Dolan’s cheapness as much as anyone, but he has shown that’s he’ll go for it if he feels the team can make a run. He got Miller and wanted Lucroy. He signed EE. Yeah, those aren’t massive signings, but they were good ones. But for the most part, I’m with you guys — frustrated.
I agree with you mostly but look at this year. We have two of the best young players in the game and one of the best staffs and we let like half of our lineup go and didn't replace them
