Wife was out of town over the weekend so nothing but soccer on the TV (some Sesame Street for Lil Bishop) the entire weekend. She is going to hate me this weekend with MLS Season Kicking Off.
I like following this account to see how shitty the pitches could get back in the day and this is one of the worst
In Lisbon for work this week and snuck away to Benfica vs. Belenenses on Monday night. Benfica squandered a two goal lead via a terrible goalkeeper error and a muffed backpass, much to the bemoan of the locals.

I've had about 25 years of following the sport heavily. Think this Ronaldo/Messi era is absolutely amazing but things about the previous era I like more. The Man U/Arsenal fights, Ronaldo/Rivaldo/Ronaldinho, the French teams with a fucking fortress of a defense plus Zidane and decent attackers though Henry wasn't all that good in 98/00. Definitely think the previous French teams would beat the current era. Think clubs have taken a step forward while national teams were better back then. I could be dead wrong. /randomdrunkenshit
But now we have Kanté who despite playing for Chelsea is just the most loveable little guy in the sport
Feel like this thread gets more views than Ligue 1. Been wanting to post but wanted to wait until I drafted him in the fantasy sim draft so I didn’t draw attention to him. Thauvin just brutal in this interview
