Seems like a movie I would have been interested in watching if someone better than Snyder made it. The chances he threads that needle with all those stories are not good.
Let me see if I understand the plan here: Movie one: the heroes fight each other (like in Civil War) Movie two: the heroes fight the guy pulling the strings and lose (like in Infinity War) Movie three: the heroes band together, do some time travel shenanigans and save the day (like in Endgame)
WB hasn't employed a director until Gunn that could hit the idea of Superman being a villain on the head. Also, the sheer number of characters needed for that story are ridiculous, unless you're just going to tell a summarized version.
You shut down the whole studio if someone approves that, right? Like, sell the movie right to Disney at that point and let Feige own the whole comic world.
Anybody seen the Batman & Bill documentary? I knew the basic story but seeing everything laid out coupled with the way he passed away was really sad.
That’s right I thought I saw it on a streaming service but couldn’t remember which one. Pretty sure I saved it to my list.
Forgot I won passes to an early screener of Shazam tonight. It’s for media and press only apparently. So I’ve got that going for me. Which is nice.
It looks really good. A substantial film. Look at that in comparison to some of the other comic movies in recent years. If anything I think it brings back some of that Nolan-realism to the genre.
I think Phoenix will do a good portrayal and probably be the DCEU’s Joker moving forward. Just not sure how I feel about making the Joker a sympathetic figure in a movie.
To me part of Joker's mystique is that he doesn't have an origins. He's just chaotic and evil and there's not a reason for his madness. I'm sure the movie will be good but I don't like it as a concept.
