Bronn: Listen to me cunt, ‘till I get what I’m owed, a dragon doesn’t get to kill ya, you don’t get to ya, only I get to kill ya. Jaime: That was only one of them. ... she has two more. Jaime: If she decides to use them, to really use them ... Bronn: Then you’re fucked. Jaime: Don’t you mean ‘we’re fucked?’ Bronn: No, I do not. Bronn: Dragons are where our partnership ends. I’m not going to be around when those things start spitting fire on Kings Landing. Jaime: I have to tell Cersei. Bronn: You may as well jump back in that river.
FUCK - WATCH MARRY - READ ABOUT KILL - NEVER LEARN Endgame, Game of Thrones finale, Star Wars Episode IX What you got?
Joffrey just got got. paid attention to the background to see the queen of thorns take the gem from sansa, but don't ever see her slip it into the drink. I assume it wasn't ever shown?
The scene also showed the necklace with the missing “gem”. When I checked I never saw her putting it into the glass.
yea they were really heavy handed showing the QoT every two seconds the entire scene and the necklace with all the stones and then again missing the stone on the far right.
Missed it the first time though, as I suppose most people did. It was only after she told Jamie that I was able to see what was happening in that scene.
QOT's dialogue with Sansa about the Red Wedding while plucking the gem from her necklace was as fuck....
what are the things the show did different for the better? first two things that come to mind for me are Bronn’s expanded role and the Arya-Tywin scenes.
Giving the White Walkers a bigger presence was good. Imagine not getting to see Hardhome. I like show Tyrion better than in the book. He's easier root for and plays and a needed role as a hero.
Question i have regardless of book or show - what is the endgame for the white walkers/ night king? What do they want? Or do we not know?
No clue. Hopefully we learn. If the books ever get done we'll learn it, but I worry the show will just turn them into ice zombies to kill.
For one thing the show has forced a storyline beyond the present timeline of the books. So, while the book series will never be completed we, the fans, will at least have some sense of closure.
Winds of Winter episode has some feels with Tyrion being named hand of the queen and then King in the North scene. Lady Mormont is a bad bitch
If you can’t watch the whole series before the 14th, is there a list of must watch episodes to feel completely ready?
I rate it up there with Blackwater and Watchers on the Wall, with Hardhome and Battle of the Bastards right there with them.
Finished my rewatch. First time I've gone through it from the beginning since I first started watching it. Season seven is a big step down and it's tempered my expectations for the final season, but man the quality of the show is still lightyears ahead of almost anything else. One thing I thought of: One of the complaints about season seven was that, without Jon and co. going beyond the wall and effectively handing the Night King a dragon, there would have been no way to get past the wall. Everyone should have just sat back and let the dead be stuck with no way to go south. I don't think that's true. I think the fact that Bran was marked made it possible, and the fact that the Night King could enter the 3ER's tree house after marking Bran is the precedent. Once Bran crossed through the wall the Night King was free to follow. Breaking the wall just made it easier to get his massive army through.
Yeah I enjoyed S7 much more than I did the first watch. I went into this remembering it as a huge let down and was like “this is still good”
Like someone else said I would read/watch reviews and summaries on YouTube. If I were to pick though I’d watch the first 5-6 episodes of season 1 and then watch 5-7. You certainly won’t get everything but there is a lot of interesting stuff from a rewatch in the first few episodes (Jon and Tyrion meeting and riding to the mall comes to mind amongst other things) and rewatching 5-7 should get you back into what’s going on leading up to season 8.
How do you guys keep track of all the names and places? I'm on S7 Ep2 and have to keep googling to see who half the names mentioned are. I know their faces in the show, but can't keep track. Same as all the houses.
" The King will have 20...and you will have 3, gold will be their crowns...gold will be their shrouds..."
The one that stuck with me was the one about the younger woman taking the throne. We all assume she meant marg but it could mean dany
Very good point, especially with Jaimie essentially "leaving" Cersei to pledge for Dany. " to cast you down and take all that you hold dear..."
Lol. Redheads just aren’t my thing. Early seasons Cersei is super hot. Not as crazy about short haired Cersei
