Lol at the incels in the replies, essentially spouting a conspiracy theory that much of the box office reports were fraudulent, that Brie herself or someone else bought a bunch of tickets to inflate the figures. Set up by ??? Marvel? Or SOROS?! Because that makes sense.
I just finished GotG last night. Such a great movie. Now have GotG 2 then Winter Soilder. Gotta keep trucking along.
My wife, daughter, and I are at Thor 2 Dark world. I've seen them all except Homecoming so I'm getting the joy of watching them mesmerized.
I still haven't finished watching Dr. Strange. The character and story just do nothing for me, for some reason. *ducks to avoid thrown objects*
Dr. Strange's solo movie was pretty blah. He went from okay to amazing in Infinity War though, and I'm hoping he has a better sequel movie because of it. Thor went from being "the other Avenger" in all his movies before Ragnarok to someone on par with the other two main ones, with one of the best moments in Infinity War.
As my gf puts it, "Dr Strange is an asshole who texts and drives and then gets rewarded with mystical powers for doing so."
just went to page 1 & 2... watched the Ant-Man trailer and got excited for some reason. MCU just does it great. Then I saw we got excited for X-Men Apocalypse, and well, oops.
meh, she's a tv star. Captain Marvel isn't putting up the numbers it did with her in place of Larson.
Nah I don't think that's it. Brie Larson was basically out of work before Cpt. Marvel came along. She said herself she was basically broke and had no prospects lined up. The Room didn't do much for her career (despite the awards); she wasn't an A-list superstar of the present or even the past.
Can't wait for this movie. Strange is incredible in IW and I think he'll really be good in a solo movie now that we're done with origin stories.
I never said she was A-list, but she was certainly a bigger star than Yvonne-whatever. she was also a huge part of the promotion of the film. it was about her and the feminist movement she had made herself a part of as much as it was about the film itself.
And why do you think another actress wouldn't have done the same? I don't imagine anyone had to tell the cast of BP the significance of the race of every person in the movie. I'm sure there are plenty of actresses in Hollywood that recognize that women are still a minority in the industry, especially in that genre as a lead.
it would have been cool to see Yvonne Strahovski and Zach Levi star in their own comic book movies IanBoyd
I didn’t realize he was also Fandral in Ragnarok Went out like a bitch but we all should aspire to be granted death’s sweet release at the hands of Goth Kate Blanchett
well if you were up on your MCU knowledge, Fandral's true death was left on the cutting floor. What we saw was a bastardized version
Imagine thinking Stephen Strange is somehow more morally repugnant than Tony Stark. I hope the poon is at least top notch.

Had a curious question during a rewatch of IW. Both attempted killings to avoid Gamora falling into the hands of Thanos, the weapon either fired bubbles or turned into bubbles. Why bubbles? I feel like it must be an inside sentimental thing between the two of them that I missed from when she was little? Seems weird for both of them to have changed to bubbles if he and any option.
In the Marvel v Capcom video game Thanos turns thing into bubbles or uses bubbles or something. I read it was a tribute to that.
