    IMO it’s a wash. He barely had any P5 offers before committing to us iirc. If it allows Hoiberg to bring in a better recruit for next years class, or a graduate transfer, etc. probably a win for NUBB going forward.

    Sorry to interrupt the drubbing with some depressing stuff, but I wanted to share my friends' story in case any of you might want to throw any small amounts of support their way. They have been fundraising for a few months now, but I just saw this interview they did and have a renewed sense of wanting to share their story (cliffs: They live in Mahtomedi, MN and lost their prematurely-born son, Aaron, last fall after Aaron battled for seven weeks. They are now raising funds for a memorial community playground in Mahtomedi to honor and remember Aaron.)

    I'm not so sure. A year showcasing your skills under a competent offensive coach could improve your stock quite a bit. The difference between late first and early second from the player's perspective is massive. Not sure he could get himself there but if there's even a chance of it he should come back.

    Agree that he is probably gone either way.

    There is a lot of speculation that Hoiberg is basically going to use the first season as a throw away like he did at ISU. He may take a lot of transfers that won't be immediately eligible and give it a go in year 2 with a more rebuilt roster.
