Yeah, he wishes he would have never done it in the first place, but he made money from it and his dad taught him and we were in a county that had one of the largest rounds ups around. He used to kill every deer, turkey, hog he saw. He was young and ignorant. He is the type that goes hunting to watch deer now. Its crazy hearing the stories from his past and seeing him now.
Went to said rattlesnake roundup once upon a time. Really had no idea what was going on. They didn't actually round up anything in front of you from what I remember, so it was basically just a fair with various items made out of snake skin.
Apparently not my county https://www.biologicaldiversity.org/news/press_releases/2017/rattlesnake-roundups-01-26-2017.php
My western hognose Sandoosler used to do this great trick. Then he started to learn all he had to do was bite me to get me to leave him alone. All the hoppers a snake could want and that’s the thanks I get.
Live near Naples. Had a huge snake with a head the size of my hand lock in on my dog while on a walk. It had been bothering some Muscovy ducks and when they flew out of the water turned its eyes our way. Easily the biggest snake I have ever come across. We go for our night walks with a knife now just in case.
First snake of the year. This was about 2 weeks ago, and in the mid 40’s. Found on a south-facing slope which is very common during winter months as they get the most sun. Also found a smooth earth snake amongst the litter, but didn’t get a pic.
a snake came at me while wading a river last year. it was the damnedest thing. my friend goes, “hey man that snakes coming for you” and i see it cutting across the river right at me. it got about ten feet away and i slapped the water in front of it with my fishing rod, it stopped and just kinda looked at me for a second, then drifted further down river and finished crossing.
Titles tells us rattle snake, but still Texas homeowner reports "a few" rattlesnakes under house. Removal company finds 45. March 20, 2019 / 11:15 AM / CBS/AP Albany, Texas — A Texas homeowner who reported seeing "a few" snakes under his home actually had dozens of rattlesnakes living beneath his house. That's according to Big Country Snake Removal, whose workers pulled 45 rattlesnakes from underneath the home near Albany, about 150 miles west of Dallas. The company posted an 18-minute video of part of the actual removal on Facebook and it's been viewed more than 300,000 times. CBS Dallas/Fort Worth reports the company said finding that many snakes at a house that "was nice and clean" and had a very well kept yard is unusual, but that snakes only care about surviving. The company said on its Facebook page that the homeowner had crawled underneath his home after high winds disrupted his cable television service. The homeowner saw a few snakes, quickly crawled out and contacted the snake removal company, which removed the rattlesnakes last week. Snakes will begin emerging from underneath Texas homes as the weather warms up, increasing the risk of snakebites. Officials say that on average, one to two people die in Texas each year from a venomous snake bite.
Neonate eastern diamondback. We got really excited when we first saw it because we’ve never found pygmys in this area, but still awesome to find healthy diamondback populations.
There have been a couple people bit my pygmy Rattlers in my area recently. All this new construction has them around all the landscaping
