Second one should have been caught, was flubbed and Gore got 3 Whit broke the record on a perfect bunt single
Blaming the pen fits the narrative but that's only one run in 6 IP out of the pen. That will play. Timing sucks of course. That said, this was essentially a bullpen game so 6 runs maybe isn't so hot.
This team fucking sucks. I was thinking about a hypothetical last night. If you asked any average to above-average MLB team to take any player of ours but they had to be in the everyday lineup/rotation/7-8-9 inning guy, how many would be taken? Whit and Mondesi are the no-brainers. Keller probably is too as someone's 4/5 starter. After that? Maybe Gordo, possibly Soler, possibly Junis. I want a new GM
Whit, Keller would be the only guarantees. I think Junis would be snatched up too. Any average/above-average team probably already has a good SS. If you could move Mondi around, as a quasi-utility player then yes, he'd be included. Chris Owings wouldn't be selected by a AA team. And I also want a new GM.
Also, how much porn did Nicky Lopez get caught looking at? Why is he not our everyday 2B? It should be Whit but they insist on playing musical chairs with him. Hopefully that's just for the sake of showing interested trade partners that he can play a corner OF spot. But we are too dumb to cash in on Whit and his amazing contract so we will hold him for two more years while we are shit and going nowhere.
only the royals would move their best overall player from his best overall position to the most stocked position in the farm system
There’s 2 very good reasons to plays Whit in right. 1 to showcase him there to up his trade value, 2 to get him accustomed to it for when Lopez comes up. But we are more than likely doing it so we can get Owings at bats for some awful reason.
If they're holding him back due to service time that's just KC Royally dumb. So I assume that's the reason.
I'd like to believe it's a service time issue but they didn't even give him at-bats during September call-ups last year so something tells me we won't see him soon.
Any GM worth a shit would trade Whit. We all know Dayton won't. He will probably re-extend him after this year because his current deal isn't fair, ala Salvy.
We need everything And I was praying that the Braves would hire DM away from us 2 years ago. I'd kill to see him there too. I'll give you Whit if you take him.

Whit is 0-4 so far. Getting a 5th at bat is in question. But our bullpen will certainly blow the lead so he should get an at-bat in the bottom of the 9th.
I don't wanna see Whit traded. I know it would/could help in the long run, but I don't care. I'm already back in the mode of watching individual players instead of the team as a whole and I'm embracing that.
I think it's time for Brad to open his own fast food berger joint. This throwing baseball thing ain't working for him.
