Really? I didn’t realize his recruiting was very good at Marquette or Indiana. Thought I read where his best players were underrated kids he developed but I could be mistaken.
He recruited fairly well at Marquette, as well as you can there. Indiana he was a good recruiter, but missed on some in state guys ( I dont think he even recruited Kyle Guy). IU is hardly a rational fanbase so he got chased for not living up to really high standards. He recruited well, but some of his best players were more under the radar guys.
Yea, so I’m ready to see what he does with Edwards and this class he’s bringing in. If Claxton stays, I think we could surprise some people next season. We’ve got to get much better on defense.
He signed some really highly rated players at IU- Zeller, Yogi Ferrell, Vonleh, Bryant I think are a few I think he reeled in about a 5* every year but also had some underrated guys like Oladipo who turned out to be studs too and I don't know how they were rated out of high school but Dwayne Wade, Dominic James, Steve Novak, Jerel McNeal off the top of my head... Diener may have been decently highly rated too I can't remember
Crean is pretty good imo but this conference is like murderers row with the coaches rn Who knows if it works but based on his accomplishments and recruiting ability, certainly a solid hire at minimum for UGA
Good for LSU but that's frustrating as hell as a Mizzou fan. We're a bunch of Ned Starks honoring the rule book while everyone else is playing by Lannister rules .
If it makes you feel any better, our idiots in charge were about to follow your example instead of learning from your mistakes. I think Alleva and F. King thought they would get praised for doing the "right thing" instead of being virtually run out of town (hopefully literally sooner than later). Wade getting Pearl's attorney was big, too.
Maybe. I sure as hell don't have any insight to the trial. But with as risk-averse as our administration has been, I would imagine that they have some intel that this won't blow up in their face. Now that probably gives way too much credit to these schmucks, but they have shown that they are willing to give up the program to not get suck in the crosshairs, so I'm not sure why they would suspend him for the postseason and only to reinstate him the week before the trial if they were expecting further consequences.
I think it's just part of the process. He was suspended for failing to talk to them. Now he talked to them. So the suspension is lifted.
I think they’re basically like Arizona and in wait and see mode on what the feds will dig up before acting on his employment any further. Looking for evidence to terminate for cause to get out of any buyout obligations
Again, maybe. And this particular line doesn't exactly contradict your theory...Coach Wade's explanations and clarifications offered during the meeting, absent actual evidence of misconduct, satisfy his contractual obligation to LSU. But my uneducated opinion is that they would have just kept him suspended at this point. Folks who know more about the program than I do aren't waiting for another shoe to drop. But we'll see.
Chuma declares for draft Okeke plans to hire an agent, but is leaving open the option to return to Auburn for his junior season, a team source tells Auburn Undercover. The deadline for early entry into the NBA Draft is Sunday. The NBA Draft Combine is set for May 14 through 19 in Chicago. Early entrants into the NBA Draft have May 29 to remove their name from the draft without losing their eligibility in college.
I don’t know about you guys, but I routinely forgo hundreds of thousands of dollars for doing nothing wrong.
I know a certain booster in Jackson does all the duffel bag work for the program. He’s very passionate about furniture and state dog basketball.
Grant Williams is staying in the NBA draft. All signs are pointing to Jordan Bone staying as well. Back to the bubble
Sucks... seems like the conference lost a lot of talent that are borderline first rounders at best to early entry. Maybe the league takes a small step back next year?
I dont think it's going to be super dire or anything but right now there are maybe 2 solid NCAA teams Kentucky and maybe Auburn? Other teams will be good. Tennessee should still be decent. Ole Miss should continue to improve. Who knows after that? Maybe Georgia make a huge leap w the influx of talent. Mizzou should be improved but I think the ceiling is a bubble team. Who knows how Bama, Arkansas, aTmand LSU will do w new coaches. USC is always a wild card w Martin. Lots of questions.
