whoever is user suitable - not ignoring you i swear just busy the two times I've seen the invite pop up
Cool Will be on tonight, hit me up During work I am going to look up map locations for all the hunters
Buddy ran me though Tidal Basin, so now I'm WT5. Just noticed they've brought back the green gear sets? Also the one's I have all dropped at 450. Have to grind missions/side quests to get better ones to drop?
That much tho? For teal gear? I'm like a 493. Maybe it dropped while in Tital Basin while still technically WT4?
My problem with Destiny 2 is that you ran out of stuff to do pretty quickly on release and the fact they didn’t learn that lesson from the previous games who made the same mistake. I think I played about 3 weeks, hit max level, did pvp, trials, etc. I just find Division 2 a far superior product and experience. It’s much more customizable too. Yes there are weapons and builds and metas that own, but theres plenty of unique builds that are very good too and can compete with the metas by being creative. Destiny 2 and it’s predecessor honestly has always been the antithesis.
Agree. The free first season looks amazing already. I’m WT5 and I haven’t even played half the game yet. I went into the ODZ last night and had a blast.
They need to do some tuning on skills and talents, but it's already in a better place than division 1
Yeah for sure and there’s some other basic things that they need to fix but their commitment to the community and openness is unparalleled and other games need to learn from it.
Hold on, I’m just as big a destiny basher as the next guy but yalll smoking crack if you think the division 2 has more post campaign content than destiny.
Today, yes, but at the same point in time post launch, the division 2 has more variety and quality endgame content.
Nahhhhhhh i think the division content is a little weird. Protect the speaker and escort the water bottles ain’t it chief. That being said, fuck destiny
So doing real life anti-terrorist special forces activities aren’t as sexy as fighting space wizards on Saturn... cool cool.
Ignore gearscore altogether man. It’s not showing much correlation to the base armor or attribute rolls on gear above 450. Weapons... base damage does seem to be going up with GS. Although I just found out that the DMG number your weapon card shows is dynamic and changes with talents that you roll on there that don’t have any activation required and with gear talents. IE - thought my 451 LMG was just Stupid strong compared to all the same models in the 490 gear score. But it was really artificially higher because of the unhinged talent that I rolled on there. Been having a 490-493 LMG giveaway this week
On that note, I apparently I am the golden fucking goose of rivals and assault rifles and world terror five because most of my friends only get MMRs shotguns and LMG’s. I think I got 14 total assault rifles and rifles between 490 and 493 in one hard one daily and one invaded mission yesterday. My boys are all set in those two weapon categories for the rest of the game
Just looking at INV not even counting stash... 493 G36, 491 G36, 490 ACR, 490 ACR-E. 488 CTaR. 487 Police M4. 493 M Mk17
Start saving gear too - they are going to be changing talents with the next patch. Gonna bet patience gets a nerf. Hopefully they fix the healing issues somehow so it's not required
Gear is kinda a mystery to me What matches with what for what bonus etc After last nights run it took like an hour to sort through all the stuff
Doing chatterbox / hyena grind. Had 2 keys and got the first component with those two keys. Been running underground key boxes. Opened around 20 and no hyena keys. Lots of gear down there though.
I watched a video on survivalists ar build. His explaining of the gear and which talents and sets achieve the goals helped me. I just reworked mine to be heavy elite damage for pve. Noticeable difference already.
I am running 3 piece badger tough with crit 2 piece something else with dam to elite It’s not bad but need more skill on it
Well i played division 2 for about 5 days before running out of things to do. Tidal Basin was nice to have 3 weeks later i guess but really its just one extra mission and an inconvenient max gear score increase. I guess i cant be too upset about it bc i another two weeks we'll get another "probably ready at launch" content drop that raises gear score just enough to be inconvenient. Did i play more of the division 2 at launch than destiny 2? For sure. But ultimately the two big differences in content are 1.) Massive held back more content that should have been in the launch game than bungie did. It being free doesnt make it ok, it actually makes it worse bc there will just be less of it than if i had to pay. 2.) Destiny 2 would have been received very differently if they had forced everyone to play through 90% of adventures before hitting end game like division 2 did. Hell they probably could have even got away with not including the final mission and first raid in the base game.
Division 2 is a really well made game that i enjoyed playing through, which is more than can be said about Destiny 2 at launch. But the end game is just so not there. Well, its there, massive just decided it would be cute to keep it from us to add a sense of drawn out progression, artificially mind you. Division 2 at launch: 40 hour campaign, story that couldnt be less compelling Pointless pvp modes Pvpve Public events Gear grind to 450 then a few weeks later 500 No raid Few exotics Destiny 2 at launch: 75 hour campaign that you only have to do 8 hours of, story that couldnt be less compelling but has pretty colors and space magic Pointless pvp modes Competitive pvp mode Gear grind to 500 Public events Raid Countless exotics Frankly, the fact that theres no reliable way to increase a piece of gear's gearscore combined with regular max gearscore increases is just horrible fucking live service design. As soon as you finish your build its obsolete in a week. Thats not how these things work. Its supposed to be progression over years not essentially getting reset once a month. If you dont like my bitching you are welcome to block me. I paid $60 so im going to talk about the game and compare it to similar games.
played with a guy running the full True Patriot outfit and it was so underwhelming. He walked us through the 3 color change for the flag over enemies heads and everything. Real weak when testing in challenge mission. None of the first 3 they released are any good IMO. But there were 15 of them in D1 with plenty being meh so I'm not worried about these three. Can get a lot more miles out of 8 talents in the main gear pool mixed and matched than you get out of committing all 6 spots to some gimmicky gearset.
Can't get behind Badger gear bc it doesn't have talents on any of their gear. Never seen one with good enough rolls to make up for the talent bonuses and the 2+3 piece set bonuses suck. That Hybrid DPS/Skill build is just much more fun than a "1.x mil DPS" build. People that act like hybrid skill builds don't work just get bad drops or just need a better loot grind plan. Only way to make it work is utilizing all 8 gear talent spots that balance it out. And you gotta concede all crit stuff which Compensated makes up for (reddit thread has a table for what Crit chance/build % = actual weapon dmg). What I thought was a solid Cr build had ~30%ch and ~50%dmg on AR, which only = ~12% dmg. And it too 10Red to get there. Meh Actually went through the layout over morning coffee and a little wake and bake this morning with a couple buddies that were lost on building. Spoiler: TD2 Building Ted Talk by TLAU AR/SMG and Demo Spec = Kinda settled on these brands for each spot then it's just about finding on with the right colored attribute combos on them. And only get 3 Red for Compensated = Use Optimist instead of Ranger for AR since > 4 Yellows. LMG Unhinged necessary for Challenging mode Best advice from random matchmaking guy "Look for gear that's only one-off or already set" = you can get exactly what you want with one attribute or talent recalibration. If not then scrap it. Vest - Fenris = ARdmg + both an active and passive talent Backpack - Gila = total armor + both an active / passive spot Mask has options - 35+% DTE attribute + Hard Hitting ideally for 50% DTE on one piece (Gila for me) Gloves - Alps/Airaldi come with 1 big attribute bonus (Red +10-12% AR or LMG dmg) and has to have spot for compensated recalibration Holster - Airaldi/D&H both have one type that comes with 1 big attribute (skill pwr) + Talent slot. Devastating only goes on Gloves/Holster so that's here Knee Pads eh. If you got 7 Blues find something with Patience Talent. If not pick a set that you want the next bonus for / color attribute + Passive talent you need most. I found a Providence last night that gives skill power brand bonus +Yellow (CD i think) and already had Hard hitting on it, so I max rolled skill power attribute to +260 Even got took a few minutes to fill out one of the builder spreadsheets 1.6k skill power unlocks mods for Firestarter to get 5 ammo and 15% damage and 20%+ mods for cooldown, health and active regen on the crusader shield. finding out I could use the Chem while holding the shield just made it that much more fun. And yes, spent way too much time in this game the past month mostly because leaving the country for 3 weeks on Tuesday and pretty sure Raids patch comes out right when I get back and wanted to have some build options ready.
So we can’t play any more??? Oh no We need a regular 4th Had a real great one but we lost him, R.I.P. dupre backinblack23 we need you agent
Guess I'll wait and see on that... after the post-mod nerf backlash hopefully they're more gun shy about nerfing / the ones they nerf aren't ones I rely on. The most heavily used stuff out there is still related to critical bonuses and Unstoppable/Patience which I can't get the blues count for. If they nerf Unhinged the LMG crowd will riot it's the only way to survive parts of challenging missions
Tuesday til Cinco I'm on leave from my Agent duties. I'm sure when raids come around we can party up our regulars into a solid 8-man squad
Had a big group that went to a concert last night and 5 of us that play D2 all had the same reaction when they turned on intermission lights Spoiler: LOOT
How highs the skill power / what’s red/blue/yellow #s? Pretty sure I’m done with high red crit builds. Hybrid is just more fun. Next patch is gonna buff mods even more.
Holy crap, anyone available on XB1 for capital stronghold courtyard mop up? I can't beat this damn thing.
