have league pass through them and checked today for the next billing date and narrowly avoided being charged $40 on 4/14 for it. wouldnt have been happy about that at all considering the season is over tonight

You were paying for their service, which includes league pass, or the league pass itself is $40/mo?

bought league pass through them so my monthly bill was $75. its the same as if you buy through the nba or wherever but having the games listed on my ytv guide was convenient. trying to bill me one more time after the season was over is actually not convenient tho

Wife was definitely excited when I told her cause of something called 90 day fiance.

If they're going to raise the price anymore, it better have the NFL Network and Redzone included. ha

At $40 a month they are losing money. I would rather pay $50 to YTTV for a surperior service than $60 for DTV Now which blows or $150 for cable.

It’s still an incredible service at a fantastic price point.

I enjoy mindlessly watching HGTV, Food Network, and APL so this pleases me. I’m gonna cancel mg Hulu and just get the one that comes with my Spotify to even out the price bump

Think one thing they should have done for those early adopters that were on the $35 price point is just bump them up $10 like every one else, let them keep their $5 discount. I can see how they'd be frustrated being the early adopters and getting a hike bigger than say someone like me that only joined a few months ago.

YTTV still the best service out there at this price point. Quit bitching just to bitch.

Feel free to prove me wrong. Nothing out there for $49.99/month that offers all the channels they do, including local in most markets. Plus up to 3 separate streams. Plus unlimited DVR. Plus full access on your computer, or TV, or phone. Plus no contract. Plus no equipment.

I think people are worried YTTV is just gonna turn into Direct or Dish and keep slowly raising prices. In another year or 2 they could be up to $60+. I like the option of adding more channels, I don't want to be forced to pay for shit I don't watch, which is what I was doing with satellite.

Fair enough. However if they get to that price point then they'll also have to offer more channels to justify it so they're offering will be even better at that point.

I hear ya. A perfect world is an affordable a la carte offering. Maybe some day.

Honestly YTTV has been more reliable than my cable ever was. I am still getting it for 35, but I would pay 50 to not need boxes and watch on 3 tv's at a time.

My buddy was paying for four boxes from Spectrum and it was like $13 a box. He paid more for the boxes than I paid for YTTV.

Yeah, that’s why cable/satellite is so damn expensive - they hit you for $10+ per box, and then other bullshit charges like $20 for whole home DVR service, etc.

I canceled DirecTV after being a customer for 25+ years after their customer service went to shit after the AT&T deal.

Bought a couple vacation rentals and had to get DirecTV for them and having to deal with them again is really grinding my gears. What a shit company.

how much are you guys paying for internet alone?

That is the only thing that is stopping me from making the switch - idk what I should get/pay?

Work from home at times, usually have two-three people using wifi at a time, and play xbox live.

    Recommendations?

$20/month for 100mbps but the only reason it's that cheap is because my complex has a special bulk rate with Cox

I have 200/200 for $50 with Frontier, best I can get in Tampa for the price. Spectrum was god awful, I started working from home first week of January and had connection issues 3 times in 2 weeks. Switched to Frontier and haven't had a single issue.

Yes it is their blast package but I do have my own modem which makes a difference i think. I think it also is promo pricing since it mentions a 9.96 off promo from the performance internet and the blast upgrade is free with 10 service discount. I've had that price for about 1.5 yrs and it hasn't changed, my parents cut the cord and when they tried to get internet only from Comcast they originally told them it would be 70-79 range. I told them to call back and say their son has it for 60 and they wouldn't go for anything more than that and they eventually gave it to them. Think it really depends on the exact city you are in as they are a county north of me.

Here's a shot of what my bill says if that helps:
    2019-04-13_12-58-41.jpg

As far as data cap I think the closest I've gotten is within about 75GB of the cap and that mainly was early on when we would fall asleep with Youtube TV on all night. We've learned to turn it off when we aren't watching/tired and it makes a difference. They also give you 2 or so free months to go over the data cap before they charge you.
