it’s apparently not uncommon mostly the second one. if there’s ever a mortar shortage in the world it’s because the previous owners used all of it on this backsplash
That sucks. I think despite the inconvenience you'd get a better final product if you took the old backsplash down and started fresh.
Stopped by the house today. Floors and tile were grouted. Lights and electrical put in. Noticed something that was missed. Electrical outlets in the living room where the tv will go weren’t put in. There were some about 5ft off center on each side but none in the middle. Builder said it won’t be tough to put those in. Glad I’m able to check on the progress every weekend.
One more thing. I ran Cat 5e internet to all my TVs. See if they will let you buy a spool and fish it through.
Or get a few run to some set locations for access points. Ex, one per floor or in wider houses one on each side, outside living, detached, etc.......
I’ve got two polls going here - one with tinder hoes and now one with tmb Pick a color or rank your top 2-3
612 ...also considered 8 and 3 but it is cooler to do my area code than an 8 or 3 in that last spot. White trim?
this is such a bad take and granted I’m stoned right now but it makes me wonder if it’s real life but also yes white trim
Confession. I live in a house that is blue (although it was painted before we moved in). I liked 8 and 3 more than 2 but when you live in 612...
1 is too blue 2 is too light for white trim 6 is questionable on that front 8 is too dark/will show dirt/dust too easily 3, 4, 5, 7 is my short list with white. Gray and white is a great color combo
I have a sprinkler system that’s probably like 20 years old and the backflow seems questionable at best. I’ve been told about 2-3 conflicting things as to what is right/wrong. If I decide to just water my lawn with a hose and not mess with this system, can I just “winterize it” or whatever then unplug it and not have to worry about it anymore
I’m not entirely sure. I was told by the inspector there was a leak. Realtor was here when the sprinkler guy came out and he said it was because the lever in my basement was turned off and it should be on. Inspector said it should be off in winter to prevent pipes freezing etc. Yesterday outside the mulch around the backflow was pretty wet. Today there’s a small drip coming from the pipe in my basement, but it’s on the spot that’s open to where you could hook something else to it. So honestly I have no fucking clue and I’m not sure what’s right and wrong.
TBH it could be nothing is wrong. But I feel like I get told 3-4 conflicting things depending who I ask and it’s getting old.
today I learned that people pay money for black walnut trees and it just so happens I have one of those annoying mother fuckers in my back yard
How hard is it to move the shower head from the side of the wall to the ceiling? I want one of those rain shower heads
Yep and fuck those rain drop shower heads. I hated it. You can’t stand under one and soap up as it rinses all the soap off. So you stand to the side and freeze your ass off until it’s time to rinse off.
just raise the wall mounted one. It’ll be much easier and you won’t have to tear out the ceiling or get into the attic
I was going to say get a hand shower thing which you can hold and has a holder so you can pull it off to rinse your hair. Or even mount the holder up high.
We have both the rain drop and the regular, came that way with the house. I keep both on 100% of the time and stand under them both (shower isn’t that big.) Love it, seems I am unexpectedly in the minority.
No you aren’t alone, this is the right way to do it. Rain only gives you zero water pressure and it takes forever to get shampoo out of your hair.
I'm 6'5 and had to add this to one of our showers to give it more height. https://express.google.com/u/0/prod...MIgJz8xJbS4QIVhyaGCh2tugQmEAQYBSABEgIBbPD_BwE
