I don't know how many times, like, as a number, but it was a lot of times where I was watching the game Saturday and tuned out and after a while thought holy shit is Damon Benning still talking?
Meh, it was one of the least interesting spring games I've watched in awhile imo. No real big performances or standout players. Mostly due to it missing most of the offensive playmakers. Also the lowest scoring spring game since 2003 iirc.
Always good to see ol Rusty from Ponca get a chance to get a hand in the dirt for the dear old DONU iyam
yeah that was a p*o-tier scene. The rest is prolly C+ which is a welcome upgrade from p much the entire previous season
I'm excited to see this season. There's going to be so many major plot points/battles/conflicts that I don't think dialogue/pacing will matter nearly as much.
yeah we're clearly not in the business of developing characters anymore. Which is too bad. That's what made the first 2 seasons the GOAT
Making shit up during the broadcast like Matya. Memorial Stadium is slightly bigger than Chicago on game days. Talking to the coaches and it’s incredible Adrian Martinez will be just 12 years old heading into his sophomore season. Let’s head down to the sideline while Damion interviews himself in front of Scott Frost.
War daddies on the defensive line, hogmollies on the offensive line. Wyatt Mazour at running back. GBR!
I’m not opposed to a guy that can legit help flip the field. Problem with Caleb it was a 50 yarder followed by a 15 yarder. You have to KNOW your guy is going to get you at least 40 yards 9 out of 10 times. Otherwise it can cost you a game (which it cost us arguably 1 or 2 last year)
Wasn't Lightbourne like a big punting camp MVP or something? You just never know. Look back at the list of all-star punters and kickers we've given schollies to. It's pretty embarrassing. Should take a #longsnapper every cycle tho
Lightbourn, Drew Brown, Mauro Bondi, Adi, Congdon, David Dyches. Yikes. Hopefully Pickering works out
Only kickers and punters worth a shit in the last 15 years started as walkons. EDIT: Except Drew Brown.
DVR has been very bad for my special teams viewing generally. Don't think I've seen a PAT by us in 4 years
Luensmann's day is done with LHP Tyler Martin coming on in relief. In 2.0 IP, Luensmann allowed two runs on three hits and one K
Dean is taking the family to Disneyland. They were sitting behind me on my last flight and I was secretly hoping the kids called him Dean instead of dad. He called me sir and got my bag down for me, as he should. I forgot to ask him what the weather was going to be like in Sedona. Missed Opportunity! Also Moos and Barrett Ruud were on my flight to Denver. Moos flys first class.
We lost 0-5 to KState. I always appreciate your baseball updates because I don't really follow the team.
There's a frickin Nebraska tourism billboard on a highway between MPLS and St Paul that features daggum Carhenge. I'm not sure if Carhenge or LTCG are the more embarrassing things for which Nebraska is known.
