many people would let their wager impact their analysis of kakes but not me. that's the 1a (or 1b) difference. pure, objective analysis (that kakes needs as many at bats as possible)
Markakis hasn’t gotten subbed for a bunch yet because we’ve had an assload of rest days built into our schedule so far
I’d also give dansby a rest every 10-12 days as well depending on schedule. Gotta keep that wrist game strong all year.
Reeeeeeeee. Idiot He didn't start the 9th game. We are only on game 15. We'll be in the thick of 28 games in 30 days soon and he'll keep getting rest. Settle down and breath. Kakes has also been pretty good
sometimes I read things too fast and saw that we've played 15 games and he has played in all 15 (later found out he pinch hit and walked in that 9th game)
Yeah okay Mr. Dumb Internet Poster I'm sure you know more about baseball managing than the reigning Manager of the Year This fucking guy
I'd still love to have a non-Kakes lefty bat with some pop but Kakes is the guy we have and he's certainly a better hitter than Ender. If anything this would be the day to get Chuck a start in LF and put Ronnie in CF and Goat in RF
Nick won a gold glove last year. Just put him in the game later on as a defensive replacement. Spoiler
He 100% needs to sit games. He clearly can't go 162 and needs days off and getting 2 off in a row makes some sense for extended rest. It'll help us later in the season. That said, I'd rather ender sit, but with Kakes sitting I'd rather have Ronnie in RF. Maybe it doesn't matter, but seems like having a better fielder in RF makes more sense
He has to sit some unless you want a repeat of last year's second half. We might still get that, but I'm happy that we're attempting to rest him so he's better down the stretch.
About a game off a week puts him at 140 games. Still a damn fine number and ideally hit can bat 350 all year vs 350 then 200
The team literally had days off last year and Kakes crashed. Do you think days off in 2019 are all of a sudden different ?
Yeah. My point was just wishing we’d be a little more strategic with the matchups and how we deploy guys if we are giving him a day off.
Ender also is hitting like .400 against Robbie Ray on his career (albeit in another small sample size) but if you had to choose one to hit against him and it’s the game on the line everyone here except maybe DMX would choose Kakes.
I did see ender's blistering 2-5 stat line but it didn't support my case that Snit Got Big Brain talking point
Might as well call up Ian Anderson and complete the cycle of all our top 100 pitching prospects start a game in April
I think my point should be clear on Ender, but in the event you and your male friend that you met online, WED, need help - I don’t think he’s an amazing hitter right now, but he’s still a useful MLB player with a good track record. That should be good enough to not want to talk about how terrible he is every. Fucking. Day. Get a hobby or just watch the team and stfu.
