Seriously at what point will people stop propping up Mueller as some beacon of integrity? This Barr situation was entirely foreseeable and Mueller still gladly participated in it. He's clearly more partisan than many of us were willing to admit.

I agree but it won't be Mueller who sticks his neck out. If he were going to do that he would have done so. The most generous way you can interpret his actions is he was trying to insulate himself from any blowback. The least generous is that he is okay with this or even wants it. I think the best way to characterize his actions to date are apolitical. I think we all want him to take a side and that is where the frustration occurs. He did his job based upon the guidelines of his job without leaking and without what we have come to expect from the likes of Comey and Barr, which should not be the way things are done. It is frustrating as fuck, but I think if he did the job that I think he did, then the facts can't be hidden. They will come out.
Trust me, I don't expect there to be a winner here, and if there is the deck is very heavily stacked against there being any action against Trump. The point I was joking about is that we haven't heard the last of Mueller.
