Yeah I have about 10-15 pair in rotation I was specifically just talking about keeping them in decent shape. I have coworkers that have a brown pair and a black pair and they wear out quick.
My work shoes wouldn't wear out as quick if I kept them in the office and used something else to walk over all the pavement and such outside. But who feels like fucking with all that
Thanks to this thread i've had some for two years now going strong. I used to buy a new pair every year or maybe two if I got lucky.
Scott are great too, Not sure if they have dropped off, place in FL I used to get them doesn't carry them anymore. Similar price range. The Hari Mari's with Nokona leather are likely my next buy.
I have these with prescription lenses, one of two pairs. Prescription lenses are an absolute game changer in sunglasses. It's typically what I spend my FSA money on. And Warby Parkers.
Any opinions on Martin Dingman shoes? I wear their belts daily, have my eyes on some horse bit loafers.
Are Nokona’s any lighter now? Some of the guys I played with back in the day loved them. To me it was the heaviest glove I’ve ever worn. This was 15-20 years ago so I’m sure they’ve probably changed but I never could use them. Seems like they’re one of the top gloves now.
I love mine. They did run crazy small for my foot size so shoot them an email and ask what people typically order.
Was gonna tell you l think they run slightly large. Wear 10.5 and 11 would be too much, just gotta wear socks. Can’t go loafer no sock in my two loafers. Can in my suede with rubber bottom drivers. Believe Glasses USA
Socks for work, no socks casual (I'm grew up in New England). For a $265 loafer it better handle both. Spoiler Or maybe not. Not sure what the going rate is these days.
Then I’d say order true to size. They have great customer service. Sent me a new belt buckle when a piece broke fairly quickly.
The two belts I have are in great condition considering the immense use. They're worn in places you'd expect belts to be worn and that's it.
They run large I had it backwards. I am between a 10.5 and a 10 wide. I ended up in 9 in the Saxon penny loafer. We shipped it back and forth a couple of times but finally got them right. Great customer service.
Domain I had linked to my purchase is up for sale and can't find another. Gotta make them last now. Special occasion flip flops.
A while back, someone linked a site that sold Filson luggage for cheaper than their site. Can’t find it anywhere. Any help is appreciated.
If you are near a factory outlet store they’re really marked down. Overstock, returns, and seconds are all mixed in. I saw some luggage that was half off regular price with a Christmas sale stacked on top last time I was in the Eagan, MN store.
Try ebay. I'll be listing two filson bags on ebay this week. The packer suitcase bag and the padded laptop bag. Only keeping my big duffel, 48 hour duffel, and briefcase bag.
I love Martin Dingman. Also, Nokona gloves are beautiful, but tremendously overrated. Give me a Wilson A200 or Rawlings Heart of the Hide.
Bought a Martin dingman belt because of a recommendation on here about 4-5 years ago. Wear it ALL the time and shows minimal signs of wear. That and the Tanner Goods wallet I have are the two best purchases I’ve made because of this thread.
I don't think I've seen any HOTH gloves but I did look at A2000's. I didn't care for the webbing on most but they seemed nice otherwise. While typing this I just watched Robles botch a catch with his A2000.
I have an A2000 infielder/pitcher glove that has the closed webbing. I have HOTH first base and catcher’s mitts. I had a Nokona catchers mitt through junior high and high school, and it split down the middle of the pocket. I’ve had a low opinion of them since, but that’s probably just because of a bad egg.
