What’s the going rate for over night pet sitting. I got asked last minute to watch two dogs overnight at their house. The dogs are really familiar with me and one being old and blind they asked me to stay there and care for them from about 4 today to 10 tomorrow morning. Neither them nor I knew what to pay or charge.
I mean dog sitting is pretty easy. You okay with them and the they fall alseep on you. I'd prolly so it for whatever they paid as a friend. My dogs are a handful and the neighbors won't accept money when they watch them.
The only reason I thought 80 was because that’s what google told me was the going rate for 2 dogs over night.
We pay $73 for 2 dogs. At a facility where there is always supervision, dogs have rooms and both indoor and outdoor play yards. You can drop them off at 8am and pick them up at 8pm the next day.
Before I had a dog my friends missed out since I'd be willing g to pay them to have their dogs stay over tbh
i mean if its a regular thing, yeah ask for some money. but i wouldnt ask for anything from a friend if it was a one time event. that's shitty
Today is the first time Tosu is staying in his cage while my fiance and myself are at work. She has a half day of training, so it shouldn't be too bad. I still feel bad about it
Damn. I'm sorry to hear that. Where do you live? Odd coincidence, but I know someone leaving town whose dog was not doing well.
We pay about $25/day for day-care, don't remember what the boarding fee is. Going to start taking him 3 days instead of 4, will give us an extra week by the end of the month. Shit gets expensive, but it's the best thing we've done for him.
So something bit/stung my pup last Thursday. Woke up Friday morning and his nose was a cankle. Took him to the vet when Benadryl didn't work. Gave him a iv of Benadryl and a steroid. Swelling started going down. And then kept going down. Now he looks like a cancer victim. Supposed to go back to normal over the next week. Normal Swollen Skeletor
My dog got kicked out of doggy day care and banned from the “yard”. He means zero harm but he’s a 100+ pound moron who has zero regard for his body weight. When he was about 7 or 8 months he absolutely trucked the neighbors GSD. I guess she thought he was graceful and agile but she bet wrong. Anyhow she was in a daze for about 4 seconds before she got up and had him on the ground and ripping him a new asshole. Long story short, we’ve paid anywhere from $40-70 a night.
It was hilarious. He didn’t know if he could play with her or if she was going to kick his ass for the next 3-4 months. He has at least 40 pounds on her.
My pug got hit by a car yesterday while the kids were hunting eggs. She got caught up in all the excitement and took off down our drive way. I was out of town and the wife didn’t want me to know until I got home. Can’t believe she survived it. Her left eye is really infected and her front leg leg is pretty fucked up. We live right down the street from Auburn’s Vet School and boy did it come in handy. She was totally out cold when they took her in. Picking her up tonight if she is able to eat anything first.
